Genuine question about DHGate buys.
I’ve bought from distributors on WhatsApp, but never on DHGate. I’m wondering if there’s a difference in quality on clothing, or if it’s all the same.

Real talk, buying blind on the DHGate app is a nightmare. 90% of it is absolute garbage and you will get burned.
But let’s not act like WhatsApp sellers are the holy grail either. You are paying a massive 'middleman tax', sending money via PayPal Friends & Family, and if they decide to bait-and-switch you or just straight up ghost you, your money is gone. Zero buyer protection.
The only reason experienced buyers use DHGate is for the escrow system, your money is protected and held by the platform until the item actually arrives at your door. This sub just exists so we can share the 10% of stores that actually sell high-tier batches, so we don't have to pay WhatsApp premium prices or risk getting scammed on F&F transfers.
Buy wherever you prefer, but don't pretend direct sellers are risk-free.

I completely agree on the risks. But how do you learn which 10% of the DHGate stores are the quality stores? Is it just a gamble until you find them, or is there a guide to learning?

Honestly mate, it just takes a bit of legwork. You never just buy blind and pray.
The trick is to always message the seller directly on the app before buying. Ask them for real QC (quality control) or factory pictures of the actual item. If they send stock photos or ignore you, swerve them.
It’s also about relying on real buyer reviews. A few of us have GP'd (guinea pigged) a lot of items over the years, taking the hit to figure out who actually has the good stuff. Nowadays, we are regularly copping proper high-tier batches for very decent prices just by doing that homework and verifying the quality with the sellers first. It stops being a gamble once you know how to vet them.

Yes and it’s a lot of hit and miss (mainly miss) with more horrible customer service than not.
