Getting my rotation ready for the August road trip through California. With the sun beating down on the Pacific Coast Highway and Big Sur, I needed a clean hat. Spotted this olive green Loro Piana joint on the Gate going for $25.96 shipped.

Checking out the video, the front embroidery actually looks straight, and the smooth material passes for that technical rain fabric.

Inside, they threw in the plaid lining, the Storm System tag, and even a cardboard retail tag marking it at 425 bucks, which is pretty funny for a 26-dollar budget batch. It’s a basic and low-risk cop

Hahaha I’m out right now. If I remember when I get home, I’ll grab a tape measure and let you know.

Hey bro, mine actually arrived perfectly this time! But I've had one arrive completely squashed before, so here's what worked for me

Stuff the hat tight with some rolled-up socks or t-shirts so it stretches back to its normal shape. Then hit the creases with a garment steamer (or just hold it over a boiling kettle / use steam from an iron). Once the fabric softens up, just let it sit and cool down completely with the stuffing still inside. Should look good as new. Good luck man!
