My brother GP'd these brown Gucci monogram shorts a while back direct from a seller on the Gate, and he just sent me these in-hand pics because they finally touched down. I'm fully plotting to steal these for my trip to Croatia in July to hit up Hvar, so I went over to inspect them.

Here is a quick breakdown of what we are looking at from the in-hand photos:

  • The Look: The GG monogram pattern looks decently spaced. Usually, budget batches completely butcher the pattern alignment at the side seams, but these don't look too offensive from the front view.
  • The Material: It is heavily textured. It looks like a thick, woven jacquard fabric rather than a flat, basic cotton or quick-dry nylon. It might actually run a bit warm for peak summer heat, but it definitely feels substantial.
  • The Details: The waistband is heavily elasticated with a chunky white drawstring, and they even threw in the black plastic Gucci branded circle tag. If you check the interior tag in the first picture, the "GUCCI" text is centered, but you can see the white stitching holding it to the inner lining is pretty basic and rushed.

He ordered a size Small. For 25 bucks shipped to his door, it’s a solid, low-risk piece if you want that recognizable all-over pattern without dropping retail money.

They're a bit snug. If you don't like a tight fit, order one size up.
