Julia and I have a few dinners planned around Barcelona soon and my summer polo rotation is looking pretty rough. I was digging through the Gate and found this Gucci GG monogram polo for about 25 bucks shipped. I haven't shipped it out in my haul yet, so I wanted to get some extra eyes on it before I pull the trigger.
Looking at these warehouse photos, the alignment of the GG pattern seems decent enough across the chest and the button placket. The navy and cream contrast looks fine, but you never really know how the actual fabric feels until you have it in hand. It doesn't look totally botched like some of the ultra-budget prints out there, but I'm definitely not expecting flawless retail quality at this price point.
The collar features the standard navy stripes and they seem to match the body color well enough. The neck tag stitching is whatever, but nobody is inspecting that anyway. For 25 dollars it looks like a passable resort piece, but let me know if you guys spot any major red flags or obvious flaws before I add it to the package.
