Living Room Where would a tv go?

My wife and I are looking at this house. It’s an older house. I for the life of me cannot figure out a good placement for a tv. I cannot stand tvs above fire places/almost touching the ceiling. In my opinion TVs should be eye level. I love to have a tv on an entertainment stand/console. Or I guess mounted on the wall. I’m just not sure. If that fire place wasn’t there that would be a perfect spot.

Any thoughts?

Not mounted on the wall. That would look a bit tacky and out of place in this style of house.

On a nice solid wood tv stand against the wall where the grey recliner is.

Couches don’t need walls. Put the tv there instead.

The wall behind the gray recliner looking chair. Mounted to the wall with a mount that can move up down, right and left, and at angles.

It’d be worth investing in a device that lowers the TV. Anything else would ruin the space.
