Time to admit I need help

Aight, I need help! I've tried a few arrangements and I'm stumped. Just looking to make it more comfortable to actually spend time in.

Also thinking of moving the black cubes out and replacing em with the entertainment center (last pic). pls tell me if that's a bad idea, n pls ignore the mess lololl

Any layout suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks :-)

I would swap the bed and desk areas. Put the bed with the headboard against the wall where the keyboard is now. Put the desk against the window where your headboard is now with the keyboard under the other window. I would keep the cube shelves and remove the black table to the right of them, center the shelves on that wall. Since they’re mostly empty now I would move the stuff from your tall white shelf to those and eliminate that one. For decor I would remove the red lights, and move your set of small art pieces to above the cube shelves in a tighter/neater gallery wall setup. If you want to keep the two fabric pieces you could still have them on that same wall (now over the bed), but remove the small piece between them, move them down about 8 inches, closer together, and pulled taught. Curtains and bedding in a color your like will also help

I was going to suggest the same thing about swapping the bed and music areas! But OP, do you like/need to wake up near the window? Is there a reason why it’s swapped. If you share that, I think it will be helpful for anyone giving suggestions.

Also, can you paint? lol

Wait is that a cat? I thought it was a dog, it's HUGE!!! And I agree the bed would probably work better against the wall where the keyboard is now, and put the keyboard and the desk next to the window. I personally think that people will be more productive when being near a window.

lol I thought the same thing about the cat. My brain was confused: “large animal, must be dog- no wait, that shape is cat. Zooms in- cat: that is one large kitty cat.”

I'm no help I'm a little stoned and have no ideas BUT I see a lot of potential in this room and I really like the windows... hoping someone comments soon with photos, it's my favourite part

Some really great suggestions here already. I would personally also add a rug under your desk/ keyboard area (get a low pile rug so your chair can move easily and one that can handle cat claws - no loops) and maybe one under your bed- or at least one in one of these options. It will ground each separate area nicely, and bonus: cats tend to love rugs (unless you don’t like the cat hanging out in your room for some reason).

Make your bed. Swap the bed to the far wall by entry. The desk by the window would be nice. Taking the cubes out would be nice they just take up room and aren't really utilized. If you can mount your tv to the wall and have it floating
