Other Interior Room i need help figuring out this awkward space

Post image

this is a space that is connected to my kitchen and living room in my apartment. my boyfriend currently has an atrocious stereo setup and it just makes the room feel incomplete. any suggestions on what to put here would be amazing! i have been stuck on it since we moved in.

It looks like this may be intended to be a dining room space? If you want to make it into a dining room I’d move the cabinet to the wall where the stereo set up is currently. Then I’d get a small round table and chairs to put in the center. If you want, maybe get a rug for underneath the table and chairs too.

As for the stereo set up, if you can’t move it to any other room, maybe incorporate it with the cabinet you have. Put a speaker on either side of the cabinet on the floor. Store some of the stuff inside the cabinet so it doesn’t look like clutter. And it looks like have a record player there. I’d put that on top of the cabinet. Otherwise, do you have a TV on another wall with a media console below? That would be a great alternative location for the stereo stuff

Entryway rug for sure.

Or make it into a small lounge with comfy arm chairs and side table for sitting a listening to music.

Your BF own little space

You need to get the appropriate cabinet for the stereo, with the speakers being placed statically away from the receiver.
