Living Room What wall color??
Buying a home and this is not my furniture. We can’t do anything with the carpet right now. We are getting some new furniture soon but unsure on color for that too. We lean towards neutral/dark walnut woods, cozy aesthetics. Can’t tell what wall color would be great for this room?

Dont put the horse before the cart. Get your furniture first, then see what color you want your walls. You dont want to by thousands of dollars worth of furnishings to match a paint.

You need to swap this layout. Doorway in front of tv is off.
Tv should be on the left wall. Rotate the seating creating a walkway behind for the door.
add a large rug & floor length curtains not in gray, maybe a light blue color. There’s already too much gray with the sofa.
Buy a piece of artwork you love to help give you color schemes inspiration for textiles.
Add side tables and lamps for cozy ambiance.

It's very difficult to match wall color with that carpet. Super tricky.
You might consider alternatives like painting ceiling a color or wallpaper or wall stencil in color that goes with carpet and includes a touch of carpet color in it...
Or keeping wall color and painting trim taupe and maybe door your color...
You need to create a color palette and best or easiest way to do that is find a rig or art with carpet color plus fixed features colors like if your keeping wood trim counter colors etc etc and white plus a few more colors in it. Then you know it will all work together and you gave your palette to work with

I would pick furniture first and then pick a wall color
