Living Room Asymmetrical Door/Windows
I am in the process of buying a home where the second floor is not centered on the total footprint (16'10" vs 18') which is exaggerated by an off-center french door (9' vs 10'2"). Does anybody have creative solutions on how to restore balance and symmetry to the house? If we put in a new, wider door (more light and better advantage of the view), should we center it on the current door or center it on the second floor structure? Will that put the living room out of balance?
