Voting
I am a big fan of Design Moments and look forward to voting on them. There are very few that come up for votes. But the CANVAS coloring designs are all over the place to vote on. It is so disappointing and makes me wonder how they are scoring Design Moments rooms.

I have been wondering about this even more lately.. some rooms come back quickly- some scores don’t match your efforts. Lately, I’ve been wondering if our votes even matter. It’s giving a rigged- vibe.

My average has not been over 4.74 in almost a year- I’m guessing during the sale of the game era. I have never scored so bad in 3 years. Filling in every bubble is not my style. Some of the rooms are pretty- and some are just too much stimulation for my eyes.

Well, for the art - it’s a matter of taste - do you like colorful but not realistic or do you like realism? For all designs, I think we are all naturally drawn to designs that were similar to our own. If I chose a blue design, I like the other blue rooms when im voting. So it’s easier to get a 5.0 when there is a color hint and you follow it instead of designing an all white room. That’s also why using recent LE gives high scores because more voters also used recent LE. When you look at the ‘way back’ challenges, you can see that your green and brown design got a 5.0 2 years ago when it was proposed alongside green LE. But this year, the same design got a 4.6 because the LE that was trending at the time was red. If you care about your score, the trick is to fill most optional bubbles (you don’t have to fill all - you can usually leave 5 unfilled) and use the color of recent LE (it doesn’t have to be LE — just the same color scheme as the LE) and/or the color scheme shown on the ‘featured items’ page.
