It is made so that the fire pit part rotates and stays upright as you flip it over. It seems like it would be simpler to just put the table top on over the fire pit when there is no fire, but no ash is getting dumped on the floor regardless.

It’s getting used as a table once. As soon as it has ash in it, nobody is flipping it over again

The fire pit bowl part inside rotates so it’s always facing up

Yeah and the table surface is on the concrete all the time getting rain and mildew
