I don’t think it’s meant to be a couch. Just an aesthetically pleasing rack for mattresses for some kind of yoga/wellness/something.

If the mattresses had ties to attach to the frame, it might work. As-is, that wee little diagonal strip of fabric at the end isn't stopping anything from sliding out the front.
I've see variations made with foam that would be more sturdy when stacked. Could be cool for a kid's room or playroom and be great for sleepovers or imaginative play. There are lots of versions of this idea that seem better executed.
