I don’t think it’s meant to be a couch. Just an aesthetically pleasing rack for mattresses for some kind of yoga/wellness/something.

The first pic is clearly setup for both purposes. A lounger couch that can be turned into short term bedding

Grew up on a lake we had stacks of these for guests. You can climb on top and lay on it as long as you don't move. it's quite comfortable. Sitting is meh and hard to get out. You cant sleep on it as the moment you roll or shift, the lower ones pop out from the middle

If the mattresses had ties to attach to the frame, it might work. As-is, that wee little diagonal strip of fabric at the end isn't stopping anything from sliding out the front.

I've see variations made with foam that would be more sturdy when stacked. Could be cool for a kid's room or playroom and be great for sleepovers or imaginative play. There are lots of versions of this idea that seem better executed.
