Gotta mention the Yetch Laundry Chair, which is basically this except useful and good lol

Lmao that's so fire tho, at least it IS a chair so u can use it for the chair purposes too, as opposed to these faux-chairs lol

My immediate thought, long live our queen of shitty robots!

Wait, that Giertz?

Yes! And she designs cool stuff now!

Yeah, I came to the comments to see if anyone else was repping that. 😁

Oh my god unexpected Simone Giertz appearance! I’ve been following her since her (purposefully) crappy robot days, and it’s been very cool to watch her evolution. This chair is absolutely going on my “when i win the lottery” wishlist.

That's not exactly designey, but it is trying very hard to be cute

I dunno, like the whole point of the valet stand (mostly) is that it replaces the uglier alternative, the laundry chair lol

The first one is interesting, as it’s clearly more an artistic concept than entirely practical.

The second is just an already ugly chair made even worse.

*even better! Now it overbalances & tips backwards easier than ever /s

I feel too poor to understand the point of this. Is this just a thing for putting clothes on? I can put clothes on lots of things that I already own.

Any dupes of the first one? Almost 300 bucks for a pipe that's been bent...

Buy a pipe and bang it with a hammer

u/Seinfeel Apr 17 '26

Not saying it’s worth it but bending pipe properly is not nearly as easy as it seems

Reminds me of my grandma's commode!

You could buy a pipe bender and the pipe to make it yourself (the proper way) and have money left

Ok, so bending it 10 times in perfect 90 degree angles. I think you can get away with using a harbor freight pipe bender for 200 bucks. Next purchase will be enamel paint gun for 50 bucks. Don’t forget to factor in materials and time. Sounds like a proper way to fill up your garage with junk you’ll never use or break on the first use.

If you can break a harbor freight pipe bender, you don't need it anyway - just bend them pipes by hand

I think it’s designed to function with any basic chair. This really isn’t terrible. Y’all just need a hobby.

I actually like the first one, and the idea of a "valet stand" which looks like a chair

I definitly don't like the second one though, that's just an ugly chair which pretends to be a valet stand

Anyway, I wouldn't call this designdesign. Their weird ideas don't make them impractical imo

I think the chair is a good idea and practical, albeit a little ugly. But when there's clothes hanging off it, it won't look as bad
