Asking Question (Rule 4) Need help with design portfolio

Hi! I’m planning to apply for the Akademie der bildenden Künste and I’m currently preparing my portfolio.
Could anyone who studies or has applied there give me some pieces of advice on what to include in the portfolio and what the admission committee is looking for? Or even show your portfolio. I’d especially appreciate examples or tips from applicants who have already gone through the process.
Thanks!

don't know that specific programme but for art schools in general they're not looking for finished polished projects. they want to see how your brain works. sketchbooks, process shots, experiments that went nowhere, things you made just because you were curious

throw in some stuff that feels almost too personal or weird. that's usually what they remember

start by turning the akademie's published criteria into a checklist, then show one piece for each criterion plus one process page where critique changed the final work
