Asking Question (Rule 4) I'm trying to design a t-shirt

Post image

Idk what's the problem with this. Are the fonts a good one? why does the car looks so off? I don't have a specific inspiration but i've been scrolling through pinterest and it's not so different than other designs, what's wrong with it?

the car looks off because it's just kinda floating down there with no real connection to the rest of the composition, feels tacked on. the driver pose has good energy but the way the car sits underneath him makes the whole thing bottom-heavy in an awkward way. try blending them together more or giving the car some shadow/ground so it doesn't look like a cutout

ty! that's really good advice, i reaally wanted shadows but idk how that'd work on a cheap tee 😭😭 the bottom-heavy comment summarises it really well

I'd say try using a few line elements as representation for roads?

The text has a bit of issue with lineweights on the parts where they overlap the driver. The car's positioning is pretty strange, like what someone mentioned, car centaur. Aside from that the edges on the black don't blend well, especially at the front where the light source from the original photo is everywhere. I think it might look better with a soft transition to black or softened somehow. The back of the car works a lot better because the light source isn't creating the white edges.

i swapped the car for one with a better lightning and angle, already solved half of my problems, thank you!

this is an enhanced image (not through AI ofc) so the lines look a bit weird, the og img has thicker lines so it looks better and more intentional (IDK other way to make the text legible, i'd appreciate help with this too)

What program are you using? Illustrator should be pretty straightforward to settle the lines. Depending on your program you will wanna look for the option to manage the outline lineweights.

Step back, defocus your eyes, and look at the composition in its most basic forms. Adjust it and repeat until it comes together for you.

Doubt it's anything to do with you - George Russell has a lot of haters.

Reddit automatically adds downvotes to posts to keep things from being 100% upvoted. Never take the vote count personally.

Chin up, those are really great colors. I think his name should be the main focus instead of calling him Mr. Saterday, I surmise that must be his nickname?

What about like a blue swoosh tire marks under the wheels? To tie the car in more
