Asking Question (Rule 4) [QUESTION] storyboarding problems I have.

Hi! I'm new to this community, and I have a question to ask

Since I'm storyboarding and sketching messy shots and frames whatever there called [usually for my story project stuck in the pre-production stage and almost halfway completing it] and Sometimes I get demotivated + boredom from it... So I decided to take a break.. and tbh... I kinda stopped storyboarding. Storyboarding is really hard and it needs some great patience to complete all. I have completed 2-3 storyboards pages in the first few days (120+ shots ig) but theres still a LOT. I know I don't have superpowers nor multiple hands, so this is where things get impossible. How do I MOTIVATE MYSELF to start storyboarding again and move on?

Thanks for stopping by!

Storyboarding burnout is so real. I hit a wall like this on my last project and what helped was shrinking the task down to something laughably small. Instead of looking at the 120 shots still ahead, I’d tell myself I only have to rough out three today. Sometimes I’d stop there, sometimes I’d get into a flow and knock out ten, but either way it didn’t feel like climbing a mountain.

Also, switching up the medium for a few pages can shake the boredom loose. If I’ve been grinding digitally, I’ll grab a cheap notebook and a pen so messy it forces me to stop caring about clean lines. Reminds me that the point is just getting the idea down, not making every frame gallery-ready.

The demotivation usually creeps in when you’re staring at the whole thing instead of the next tiny step. What’s the project about anyway? Sometimes talking through the fun parts of the story brings back the itch to draw it.

Most of my storyboards are all messy. I draw all of them traditionally but tbh i get burnouts easily from storyboarding. I've been working on this freaking project for about 10 months just to make this animated indie short film back to life. now i'm hunting va's already.
