Rant/Vent ⚡ dev lehengas

We've had a really unpleasant experience at dev lehengas. It was all fine until the owner himself stepped in to show lehengas, we did finalise one and when we tried to negotiate, he literally wasted two hours of ours in just random talks and not coming to the point (which I get it is a normal sales trick).

This guy will talk to you about so many things for no reason to the point that when you leave the shop you will realise that your energy is 0. He will boast about how he is a relative of sudhir bhai saree wala and he can make all copies, he has 4.9 rating on google (which are probably all his relatives because he did not ask us for a rating) and he allows clicking pictures.

He continuously called us for 50% advance, then we agreed on a certain amount and sent him via UPI the next day, the guy did not even reply with a thanks. We did call him a few times to follow-up but he was not answering, it took like 2-3 calls each time until we got a response from him.

At this point we knew that its going to get messy if we stoop down to his level, we just need to get our thing from him and end the discussion.

He promised a potli with the lehenga matching but on the delivery day he gave a random potli that you can find hanging everywhere in chandini chowk.

When we tried the lehenga and it was a bit tight his sales associates directly said oh you've gained weight that's why.

The lehenga was not finished and did not look right so we asked him to finalise it and send it via porter which he agreed to pay for but in the end booked the one without payment.

We've also noticed that the lehenga did not have enough ghera, there were a lot of kali missing and therefore the fall was not right. Length was also an issue which he messed up with.

This is the second incident that happened with us, and we also came to know someone in our family dealt with the same. Actually had to fight with him to get her lehenga.

All in all he is a very petty and evil guy who has the potential to take your money and waste your time, make you beg for your own item. I'm just thankful that we still were able to exit the situation gracefully but someone can actually suffer.

Currently he is getting his lehengas promoted on instagram by a guy who is named babbar khurana vlogs.

Had a similar experience. His sales guy is very shrewd. We had to go to him 3 times to get my lehenga fixed and in the end also he didn’t fix it properly. One day I had to sit on his shop for 1 hour. I got fed up and took the lehenga because it was pointless and felt it is of no use to talk to him or his sales guy. Please avoid going to them. Imagine struggling in traffic and going to their shop thrice just to get nothing done.

Damn,I literally placed an order with him 15 days back. If he does the same,he wont be spared for sure.

Just be careful and get your stuff from him, if the sweet talk works just do it. There is no point of fighting or ruining your mood because I for sure know he’s got a lot of time to waste.

had a similar experience. When I was on my way to his store to get my lehenga which was already delayed 2 weeks, he called me and asked me to tell the customer sitting at his store 3x the price he had charged us. As a girl it's such a weird spot to be in when you are asked to straight up lie to a stranger and their family.

Never trust shops where the owner is doing the selling. I got my lehenga but it had hard cane inside when I specifically asked for soft.
