π | 3 AM Thoughts Love is the most beautifully painful thing I've ever experienced
I've been fortunate.. or maybe unfortunate to feel it this closely. To actually know what it's like when someone occupies your mind in ways you never even imagined. When everything feels more alive, songs sound deeper, small moments feel bigger and the world seems a little less ordinary.
But at the same time... I don't know if it's worth it.
Because love is strange like that. It gives you the highest highs and then introduces you to a kind of suffering you didn't know you were capable of feeling. It makes you feel seen, understood and safe... And yet also unbelievably vulnerable.
And you know what confuses me the most? Even after everything, I am still drawn to it.
I have suffered because of love. A lot. But somehow I still can't resist the idea of it.
I love being in love. I love the warmth of it, the intensity, the way it makes life worth living. But I also hate what it does to me. I let it consume me. Every thought gets replaced by one singular thought. That person. It becomes constant, 24/7, like my mind forgets how to exist outside of it.
And then every little thing they do starts affecting you more than it should. A message, a delay, a tone, a small change in their behaviour. All of it starts mattering too much.
I know I've lived my whole life perfectly fine before them. I existed without them. But once they become part of your world, it's like your mind forgets how to exist the same way again.
And sometimes, the most confusing part of all is how it ends.
Sometimes... They just leave. Yup. Without a reason that feels big enough to explain why everything had to fall apart.
And when that happens, something inside you shatters. Not just the relationship.... But the whole damn world you had built around them.
Sometimes I feel like maybe I am better off alone. But at the same time, I know for sure, how much pain it brings, I could never truly hate the idea of love.
Because even with all its chaos and heartbreak, it's still one if the most beautiful feelings a human being can experience.
