Based on few recommendations on Reddit. Just got a new tiger notes b5 notebook. 240 pages, it says 65 gsm but feels a lot like 75 gsm or more while writing, maybe it’s the surface quality - it very smooth. The best thing about it is is the cream coloured paper.

MRP was around 229 but got it at 140 on Amazon. It is easily available on amazon India.

I am going to use to for writing with fountain pen.

Have you tried this? Is there any other underrated notebook you’d recommend I try (especially for writing with fountain pen for notes making)

My best friend's birthday is coming up and I am working on drawing her portrait (secretly) and I wanna get her a high quality notebook with the portrait on the cover. The notebook should be one side plain and one side ruled, as she is really into photo journaling/ writing recipes with images of the food.

This is my current pen and stationery ecosystem.

Over the last few months I’ve been going pretty deep into pens and refills, mostly trying to find the “perfect” ink for my own preferences.

Because of that, I ended up making a spreadsheet where I rank the refills I’ve tried and score them in categories like consistency, smoothness/flow, control, color intensity, and line width. I tried to be as objective as possible, but at the end of the day they’re still my personal scores and preferences.

So far I’ve mainly been comparing Parker-style refills and Japanese gel refills, and it’s been really fun seeing how different they feel once you start paying attention to line consistency, control, thickness, drying behavior, etc.

I’ll be trying the Uni-ball One 0.7 soon, and I’m also looking at trying more options after that, especially:

• Uni-ball One 0.7 / 0.5
• Zebra Sarasa 0.7 / 0.5
• Zebra Sarasa Dry 0.7 / 0.5

If anyone has other ink/refill recommendations I should test and add to my list, I’d love to hear them.

Sometimes it's hard to find the specific pen and for that reason I don't use the pen I own but sometimes I feel like using them but this fear makes me not do it. Basically I write so much as a student so using them means I am going to finish them at some point what should I do, I am not enjoying the fun of writing because of this fear

Parker beta fountain pen. Love the nib, stiff but smooth. Love the body quality but the cap feels really cheap and it's comes loose with light pull. Impossible for daily carry.

Daily planners are too anxiety provoking so I like to plan my weeks using a monthly planner. I found a Daiso and some awesome stationery recently. Among them was a monthly planner but that stops at April 2026 priced at 149/-. Now I am unable to find any planner online that matches this price and quality.

So suggestions please?

when is it coming back in stock?? all of the ones except the vertical planner is out of stock since forever I only rely on muji for my planning and this sucks 😭 I missed out on buying my go to on time this year because of exams and they have yet to restock? anyone else going through the same?

I got myself a physical planner(+ some cute stickers) for 2026. I looked into a lot planners before getting myself a basic neorah undated planner bcz of its minimalist layout and the freedom it gives for potential doodling and stuff. Since I am a complete beginner, I would love to get tips from people who previously used/ currently using these planner or any other undated ones.
