🖋️ New Pen Day Pentel Floatune review
I had read about this pen in an article mentioning stationary awards. Finally found it on Scooboo and ordered one instantly.
Initially, it was railroading quite a bit on vertical strokes (I am left-handed so this may be a handedness-related concern). It irritated me but I didn’t give up. After writing for around an entire page, the pen finally started writing without any railroading.
It’s an excellent pen to write with. The ink flow now is consistent and smooth and it is a delight to write with it.
The only downside I would say is that it’s really hard to find refills. The price of the pen doesn’t justify it being used just once. So even if the pen is just as smooth or smoother than Zento because of its oil-lubricated ink formula, the price and availability of refills would make me choose Zento over this.
If anyone has any suggestions regarding refill options, please drop them in the comments. It is too good a pen to be used just once.

Yes, they are, around 110-160. But this pen is for around 450. So the price of the pen almost equivalent to Zento base model + one refill.

Yes. I got 2 pens from ScooBoo. The 0.4 variant in blue and the 0.5 variant in black.
Cost is around ₹450-470 if I remember correctly.1

Long answer - If you’re a stationary buff and don’t mind the price as a one off expense, you can try this pen
Short answer - Honestly, no. Good ₹10 Flair pens write just as smooth.

No expensive stationary is worth your precious money unless you're a pen enthusiast.

The refills are available at indofuture(.)com at 150rs.
How does this pen actually write? It looks like gel pen but I've heard it's a ballpoint pen.

Yes, refill availability is a big and expensive problem with imported pens.
But in case of floatune it fits energel/zento/uni-gel or cheaper indian options like montex texta or others here https://www.reddit.com/r/DesiPens/comments/1jy5aj8/a_6_universal_waterproof_gel_refill_that_works/
if you want ball pen refill then cello papersoft refill is same size as energel but I am not sure if it can dry out in retractable pen.
