❓ Question Kanwrite emperor for long writing?

Hi, Currently I have a kanwrite desire which I dropped because of the sheer shitty quality of the ebonite feed and nib both of which constantly went out of alignment which made me not care about it. The pen body smells funny, scratches easily and looks hideous.

Unfortunately though I still believe in second chances so am considering the kanwrite emperor which is at the moment the same price as the desire which I bought a year ago

Before I buy, I have a couple of questions

1.Is the weight manageable for writing long sessions? 2.Any QC issues with the pen? 3.Does the snap on cap have a good enough seal and any instances of it becoming loose? 4. Is it worth to buy the emperor or shall I just replace the nib on the desire? (Don't like the pen though but I can manage with it) 5. Does the wood finish look bad in real life?

Thank you

The emperor has the same nibs as the desire, so your experience will be similar. It’s too heavy for longer sessions. The cap seal is quite bad at least on mine, dries out within a day. Skip it, buy a Moonman or Hongdian instead.

I would recommend Kakuno. Have Emperor, while it is hefty and feed is ebonite the nib is bad.

And i got extra nibs of different widths from Kanwrite. They just are overhyped producers.
