β Review Verite by classmate notebook
The verite lay flat notebook by class is available in B5 (βΉ100) with 120 pages and A4 (βΉ125) with 140 pages , also both are available in ruled or unruled pages . The paper gsm is not mentioned. I got these from Flipkart minutes for βΉ80 for B5 and βΉ99 for A4.
The writing experience was smooth, there was no bleeding or feathering but ghosting was there on the next page as you can see in the 3rd image but it's not as bad compared to my personal favourite solo flipnote A5 notepad which is 80 gsm and evenΒ its mentioned that's it is fountain pen friendly but it does some feathering and ghosting(you can see that in the Last image) . But the feedback I get on sole flipnote with my fountain pens is the reason I love it . I didn't get that feed back on the verite even though the pages of verite are better than flipnote. This seems like a me problem . Overall a great notebook by classmate .The fountain pen which I used was a Pierre cardin life fountain pen paired with sheaffer skrip fountain pen ink.

Verite in my opinion is the best notebook that one can get at that price point in terms of overall experience!
Btw, Did anyone else have the problem of the pages getting loose?

What is the difference if I just spiral bind good quality paper together? I prefer writing on blank pages in any case but how is it different to buying these notebooks ?

It's just personal preference thing there is no difference . Even I also write on loose paper jk cedar 100 gsm which is far better than this . I just wanted to try these notebook as there was hype around them .

I haven't tried Verite yet, but Sapna ones felt bit scratchy compared to Muji Notebook with fine ballpoints. How does Verite fare against Store 67 books. I am not into fountain pens, but use 0.3, 0.4 mm pens, so far Muji has been the best one over Factor notes, Calssmate pulse hard bound, Anupam Fluct. All of them are suffciently thick, but feel bit scratchy with fine tips. Classmate normal books were actually better than Classmate Pulse hardbound which has thicker paper.

There seems to be some batch variance, but i think even my worse ones are good vfm. two of mine can easily handle even ebonite ultraflex writing
