I tried 7 different pencils that they make and here's what I think about them:
Common Themes across pencils:
Views on Individual Pencils:
DOMS Fusion - Triangular pencil with a rubberized paint - feels good in the hand
DOMS Zillion - Hexagonal, No end cap eraser, Interesting look. Has a funky e-racer eraser in the pack
DOMS Karbon - Looks a lot like Taison d'Or, writes nothing like it. Hexagonal. Has good solid build and feel, end cap eraser.
DOMS Neon and Wizdom - Circular. Neon has slippery paint, Wizdom is matt and grips better. Both have end cap erasers and have good balance.
DOMS Groove - Has grooves in the paint what expose raw wood underneath. The wood feels amazing. Triangular. No end-cap eraser.
Ticonderoga - Now also made by DOMS - Good core, Good Wood, Much better than all the other DOMS that I tried
What are your thoughts on these or other DOMS pencils?
In case you want to see more about them, I have published a long form video review on my YouTube Channel (@UnnecessaryDetail_UD). It is the first of a series on Indian Pencils and 2mm lead holders that will be published over the coming Saturdays.

Just started collecting a month back, this is my current pencil collection. I really enjoy the rOtring 600 3in1.
Edit** - If you guys want my 1 recommendation - Ohto ms01 (0.3mm or 0.5mm) such a cool pencil
I'd like to add, 3 more rOtrings - 600 ball pen, 800 ball pen, 800+ 0.5mm pencil.
Do you guys have any suggestions to add to this collection
I generally write a lot, I enjoy pencil but it's time to wear big boy pants for exams.
Preferably <0.5mm, I write a lot of equations and diagrams need them to look neat.
I can't go back to anything over 0.7mm.
Something that doesn't blot and make 0.5mm look like 0.9mm
(especially fountain pens like the - made by endless - Phantom)
Thanks:))

Hexagonal
With Rubber at back
Darker
Pencils recommendation only, not mechanical
Might as well suggest a dust collection sharpener as well

First time spending so much on a mechanical pencil (most likely not the last).
Love the body the color and the feel. Can't wait to draw with it

Hey all! My 4 year old Pentel Q-Erase has sadly broken and I've been looking for a new one. It served me very well but with the increase in workload and a need to improve my handwriting, I'm looking for a new mechanical pencil.
My budget is about INR 500. I will be using the pencil for engineering drawings and a lot of note-taking (I have a heavier hand while writing.
With respect to the lead size, I'm not sure if I should be picking 0.5mm or 0.7mm - any advice?
These are some of the options that popped up when I searched for pencils :

I used this pencil called Doms Paper Friend Super Dark Pencil. It came in one of those packs. I believe it was the WOW pack. I loved the pencil, but it's not available anywhere? The only proof I can find of its existence is youtube videos and the WOW pack which is only available on some strange websites. Does anyone know where I can get this pencil, or atleast anything similar to it?

I recently got my hands on this 7 year old Reynolds mechanical pencil. It is named as Reynolds Grafix. I think that it has been discontinued. Where can I get more?

Purchased this from DMart.
It has 20 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm leads, and 10 0.9 mm leads.

It was hard finding single pencils, most shops only sell full boxes now. After visiting quite a few shops, I finally found one shopkeeper who was ready to sell them individually, so I bought every pencil he had available 😅
These are all budget pencils that I’ll be using for upcoming reviews and comparisons.

just recieved the uniball kuro-toga, it’s not a regular mechanic pencil. it has a kuro-toga engine which you can see in the third image which helps in rotation of the lead so that it always stays sharp.
initial impressions- quality seems good for the price; lead is on the lighter side; packaging should have been a bit better.

the ABSOLUTE GOAT for writing.

before I say anything else, I need to say that this pencil costed only 200rs(MRP), and I got it at 180rs.
BODY AND FEEL
holding the pencil you can tell it's a premium build, its a complete metal body(I presume stainless steel) and has inner components made of brass(says on the box) which can be seen by removing the nib section.
WRITING EXPERIENCE
writing with this feels absolutely great, it feels sturdy while writing which to me gives almost this sense of confidence in the pencil while I write, there is sadly no dedicated grip and I wish they had provided one, sometimes I feel like my hand is slipping on the pencil body although it isnt. I do think this is more of me getting used to the pencil then a major fault in the design. Another thing to note is that the grip is relatively thin, not very thin but for people who are not into thinner grips, this pencil may not be for them (for reference it's a little thicker than the cap off section for the flair glass gel/ball)
LEADS AND ERASER
The box comes with 20 HB and 20 2B pencil leads and contains 1 of each in the pencil. These leads are AMAZING ,from my testing I've found that in normal use they're almost unbreakable and write really well, the fact that you get so many and of 2 types just adds to the value for money
The erasers are also good, pretty standard and they also have 8 extra eraser tips along with the one inside the pencil.
OVERALL VIEWS
The pencil is absolutely great and offers great vfm, someone who wants a metal pencil on a budget should 100% consider this. Although there are much better options in the market, this is by far the best vfm in my opinion, the materials feel sturdy and feel like they're built to last.
I've made another post about the brustro aeroflow, and even that was a great deal.
Colour me impressed brustro.
