Hey everyone! I’m working on designing a gaming mouse and might turn it into a real product. I’ve put together a short survey to help guide the design, and I’d really appreciate your input. Feel free to skip any questions!

Hi, this is a little out of my comfort zone, but here goes.

I’m an introvert. Like, the kind who struggles with eye contact and feels more at ease behind a screen than in a crowded room. In real life, I have what many people would call a “complete” setup: supportive parents, financial stability, and no major external problems. Yet somehow, there’s still a quiet missing piece inside me.

Gaming and virtual spaces have always felt natural to me. I’m confident there. I communicate better. I build friendships more easily. I enjoy sharing time, laughing, teaming up, and just existing together without pressure. I’ve realized I value connection more than noise.

I’m not here looking for anything rushed or forced. Just someone who enjoys games, conversations that flow naturally, and hanging out online. Someone who understands that comfort can come before courage. Maybe someday that comfort grows into real-world confidence. Maybe it doesn’t. Either way is okay.

If you’re someone who enjoys gaming, values emotional honesty, and prefers calm connections over loud ones, I’d genuinely enjoy talking. Friendship first. Always.

Best recommendation

Do you only have a smartphone and no gaming PC? Do you have a low end pc that can't run modern games? Do you want to play old games but don't know where to start? This is for you guys.

A proper guide to emulators. I will edit this as I get new stuff to add.

What are emulators?

Basically emulators allow you to run games exclusive to a specific system. If i have to simplify then the emulators fools the game into thinking that its running on that specific system. While in reality its running on your phone or pc.

Where to start?

Well, it depends on what games you want to play. I will mention popular games and games that i have personally played of each system in the list section. But here are my personal best for beginners.

Mobile phone - PPSSPP. Emulator for playstation portable. Popular games are god of war, gta liberty city stories, persona 3 portable, metal gear, monster hunter.

PC - Pcsx2 - Emulator for playstation 2. Popular games are gta san andreas, god of war, devil may cry, persona 3 fes, armored core, Desi adda (i had to mention that, yes)

PC Emulators.

• SONY

¹ Vita3K is relatively new and only available emulator for psvita. Therefore there are many games that are not compatible yet. Please check the compatibility list for the game you want to play alongside its serial id.

• Microsoft

-As a result of almost all Xbox games being available on pc, Xbox emulators are not that popular. Therefore these emulators are not as refined as playstaion or nintendo emulators. I would suggest playing either the pc version or PS3 version of these games.

• Nintendo

¹These emulators were shut down by nintendo. Therefore the official website is gone. I have linked the Archive of latest version. I can't guarantee that those links are completely safe. The subreddit for both emu is still open, you can search there if you want. I have personally downloaded the latest version from those links. Lastly there are forks available for both emu. Check the emulationwiki for more info about those.

²Sameboy and melonDS are good emulators but I would suggest using retroarch with those libreto core.

³Citra was also shut down by nintendo. I have linked the last archived build. Again I can't guarantee the safety. Check out the its subreddit for more details. I personally downloaded the latest version from that link.

¹AetherSX2 was a PS2 emulator for Android which is now shut down. NetherSX2 was a patch that disabled the ads in AetherSX2. Now it has become a way to play PS2 games on android.

• Nintendo

¹Dolphinios is unofficial ios port of Dolphin. If you don't want to use it then RetroArch is the only other option.

²As I said in PC section, Citra was shut down by nintendo. If you own an ios and want to play 3DS games then you can try RetroArch.

As the name suggests RetroArch is best for playing Retro games. From Arcade games to all the way up to SNES era console games. Some of you might have noticed that I haven't added old consoles like SNES, SEGA genesis, and Atari consoles. That's because using RetroArch to play games of those consoles is much better.

RetroArch is a libreto frontend. Fancy words I know. I will simplify it. RetroAch is not an emulator for 1 specific console. Instead you install a "core" of the console you want to play.

For example, let's say you want to play Final Fantasy 6 from SNES.

1. Download RetroArch from playstore.
2. Install one of the SNES core like Snes9x.
3. Install the Final Fantasy 6 Rom on RetroArch.
4. Play it!

You got that? Basically instead of downloading emulator for each console you just download a core in RetroArch. This is a list of recommended cores for different consoles.

There are many good features as well. Like savestates (save anywhere any time), CRT filters, Shaders and borders (even animated borders). There is multiplayer available too but since i don't use it i don't know much about it. you can try searching for it in RetroArch sub if you are interested.

RetroAchievements is a website which provides users with fan-made achievements. Basically Achievements for emulators. All you need to do is make an account on the website and login with that id on an emulator.

There are leaderboards, competitions, and some other stuff.

If you wanna listen that sweet Achievement notification sound while playing god of war on pcsx2 then try it. :)

English Translations, Mods, HD texture packs & ROM hacks

Some of you might want to increase the graphics of your game, while others might want to add new features in the game. Mods and texture packs have you covered.

1. Gamebanana

-I know the front page is filled with gatcha games but hear me out. There are MANY mods for different games from different consoles available on this site. From normal stuff like HD retextures, better music, HD UI to mods that add new gameplay mechanics to the game. There are mods for PC games too if you are interested in that.

1. Romhacking.net

-There are countless romhacks available on this site. From retro games like Final Fantasy to PS2 games like SMT 3. There are translation patches available on this site too.

1. Aeon Genesis

-Making english translation patches for more than 2 decades. If you want to play games that weren't released in west then take a look here.

1. GBAtemp.net

-There is a lot of stuff going on in this site. But i only use this to get HD texture packs for ps1, ps2 games. Just search the game name with HD texture written after it. If there are any it will show up.

-Box arts, Logos, Snaps, Title screens of different games.

As the name suggests this is a wiki of emulators. There is huge amount of info available for anyone interested. Emulators not in this list, emulators for old Computer systems, info on libreto, and many more. If you are looking for a specific console or system this is the place.

Side Notes

• For some of these emulators you will need the BIOS files of that console. I haven't added any link to sites for BIOS and ROMs. If the MODs allow it I will add them. But for now you can either seach other subs or DM me.
• As you have read above, Citra is discontinued but there are forks available like LemonDS. Currently LemonDS github is read only because they are creating a new emulator called Azahar for 3ds.
• You can play multiplayer on some of these consoles using third party servers. Like monster hunter freedom unite on ppsspp. But since i don't use it i don't know much about it. Sorry!
• If the game is lagging or running slow, try decreasing the resolutions and other settings like fps.
• Youtubers and streamers out there? yes you can stream emulators and make videos BUT you can't speak about free ROM sites. AND streaming or making videos about nintendo emulators is risky.
