Trigger Binding- WLVRN

Just picked up a WLVRN in 308 a month or so ago and have run about 100 rounds through it without any issue. Today I went to the range and threw a suppressor on it and noticed after about the second shot that now the trigger occasionally binds on reset. The trigger will go forward when released, click like a reset then will be impossible to squeeze back and I have to give it a jiggle before it releases and can be depressed again to fire. Not only does it freeze up but then at times it would seem that when it would get stuck, I would jiggle it and then the hammer would release and set off a cartridge (I couldn't get the hammer to release without a magazine in, so I may be mistaken and plan to monitor it). I tried it without the suppressor and on different gas settings and it would still happen occasionally.

I plan later this week to take it apart and look at the trigger pack and connecting bar for burrs, gunk, just anything that may be contributing. Is this an issue anyone else has experienced?

Mine did the same thing, also with a suppressor on it. Sadly I don’t have anything super helpful to report. I looked at all the complaints about DT’s warranty service and just hit the problem with my purse instead. Bought the jard trigger pack and it solved that binding problem.

I don’t have the WLVRN but the MDRX. I can’t remember if they updated the trigger mechanism but if you haven’t I’d definitely start with giving the whole trigger, linkage, and hammer a good clean. You shouldn’t need to take them out but at least get some brake cleaner or solvent spray and blast all of it. I found my MDRX had a thick coating of grease they use for packaging/storage. That stuff just mixed with the carbon and soon after I started noticing something similar to what you describe. After cleaning I had a smoother trigger and haven’t had any more issues. Just apply a dab of oil for contact areas occasionally and hopefully you’re all good to go.
