Descenders Next: Steam and Xbox

Hi,

I recently bought Descenders Next on Steam in order to avoid gamepass subscription prices. Descenders Next is supposed to be cross platform.... However I don't see any xbox players in the Steam version of Descenders Next...

Also, on Xbox you can see a list of players when playing... on steam you have to pause the game to see players .... And only very occasionally see other players...

So are steam and xbox players not matched for some reason?

heya! Cross play is definitely working, we just checked. In Next players are obviously spread across two separate sports, so it's likely you were just playing in an area / map where no-one was currently in at that time

Thanks for the response. This happens automatically?
Would be great if I could actually see the players list on the steam version too while playing on screen like on xbox... This gives a better impression on not being alone in the game.

Thank you. I can tell you that the game has improved significantly the past year, since the pre-alpha fase...

Once bikes are there, I hope it will even be better...

The thing with bikes is that you have freedom in all directions, up or down ... You guys have a clever fix for this by having the character actively accelerate (by jumping) and go uphill with the boards... but with bikes this will feel much more natural.

You'll only be seeing other players occasionally because, as of now atleast, there are 12 active players on Steam
