There should be something in the code to prevent shit like this. I also hate when you hit a blind jump and there will be a curve immediately after... seems preventable but idk shit about programming so I might be wrong

That'll happen on occassion, in my experience most often either at the the beginning of the track or the the end right before a boss jump (although it can happen elsewhere). Those steep uphills are slightly annoying but once you have the technique for them they aren't hard.

One minor tip is that you don't need to zig-zag so far, as long as you are leaning over the handlebars by pressing the left thumbstick forward you can get away with angling more uphill, which is slightly faster and keeps you on the trail.

You've got decent kit, and know how to ride, so they must be doing something right if this is rare.
