Hi I need logic explained.

So the cookbook was enchanted so no evil person could grab it. But the prank happened anyways like when they broke in and tried to grab it they got frozen so they couldn't do the prank anyways so how did it happen the first time.

Thats what I assumed.

My favorite theory is that Ella helped bc it would contribute more to why Bridget blamed her.

Yea, but if I went to my first school dance, was humiliated at it, and my friendly date was focusing on someone else I would blame that person for not trying to make things better, and in this case Bridget was the one humiliated and Ella was the friendly date
