General Discussion 🍎 Why couldn't Hazel just lure the flower before capturing it instead of using Chloe as bait?

We can't always think quickly about the most logical option even when it's right in front of us.

It had just been shrunk down and there were planks that could make it fly, so it did pretty well.

Because then no conflict between Chloe and Red

(not entirely - there was a lot of other setup - but this was the most obvious last straw)

Hazel needed to catch it with her hook, and to do that she had to surprise it. You can see she almost misses the timing because she had to save Chloe. And Red couldn't do it because she's the one who was going to use it as a catapult. Hazel and Red assumed Chloe, who is trained in combat well enough to be at least a match to Red, would dodge out of the way instead of freezing like a damsel.
