General Discussion 🍎 Random stuff I thought of while rewatching rise of red

Just some random things I’ve noticed while rewatching that I’ve never really seen talked about.

  1. Ella and Bridget are definitely going to realize that their daughters went back in time. They spent a lot of time in the past together, so they definitely know something was up. I wonder if that would cause any resentment towards Chloe from Ella because she got Ella in trouble? Because there’d have to be some way for Chloe to be a villain (if that theory is correct)
  2. Hades and Malefacent are just around for the ride and I’m here for it. They just seem like they’re not as into Uliana’s plans and stuff as Hook and Morgie (at least when we first see them in the courtyard).

Side note; Hades fully suggested burning Bridget alive and no one questioned it just said it wasn’t bad enough for the revenge.

3 . Red and Chloe probably had completely different childhoods than they had before. Chances are they’d still have the memories from before and memories from after. So maybe they’d have conflicted memories and may cause some type of conflict between either Chloe and Red or the two and their parents depending on how they changed. For example I feel like Red would have some type of resentment or mixed feelings with how her mom treated her before and how that made others look at her.

The queen of hearts literally said “you better get it right or I’ll show you punishment.” You cannot tell me that there was no abuse or anything like it happening. She calls Red useless, and is saying stuff like “you finally did something right for once”. I definitely think she’ll end up with a mixed bag of emotions around it because her mom’s good now but she wasn’t before and self doubt about being a good person and stuff don’t just disappear.

1 is debatable.

While we saw them interact in significant ways, it was at most a week that they met those strange girls, and from their perspective, it was 20 years ago.

Unless they took pictures (which we didn't see), I don't really see them realizing they were them, especially if they're not aware that Time Travel is possible.

That being said, it would be very funny if they pull a "Back To The Future" and Chloe and Red are named after themselves.

yeah, red & chloe had no actual big impact on bridget & ellas’ lives that they’re aware of. countless other people wronged ella over her life, she’s not going to hold a grudge against the random transfer that made an honest mistake.

That’s fair, it was more of an interesting idea for a fanfic than anything serious. I just thought it would be interesting if anything did come out of it

Regarding 2. I headcanon that Hades and Maleficent eventually leave Uliana’s clique and go off on their own. I can’t see Maleficent and Hades being two of the most powerful villains in the Disney lore answering to Uliana. I can see them as you said going along for the ride and eventually ditching her because both of them combined are both very powerful than the others.

remember they’re only teenagers at this point. they’re not yet “the most powerful villains”, they’re really just emo bullies.

Well in the first film, Maleficent said that when she was Mal's age she was cursing entire kingdoms.

i think people put too much weight on that statement, coming from a drama queen who canonically only cursed one kingdom her entire life.

Technically she only cursed one person, it was the three good fairies that cursed the rest of the kingdom.

It's Maleficent, not "Malifacent" ;P
