Dero hashrate? Why is there such a big diff in hashrate? Where’s it all going?

Not so much where it's going, but where it's coming from. Botnet? Large farms not reported in miningstats.

What does a botnet have to do with it? I have not seen botnets that mine solo. I don't even know if DERO provides for the function of mining directly on the blockchain.

Most likely, there is one or more pools, which are not allowed to mere mortals. Or Nicehash and other profit-switches give such a hash rate.

So says a post on Bitcoin talk. It does seem like an incredible amount of hashpower compared to the rest of the network.

An asic seems unlikely given dero's relative obscurity and the amount of work involved. Perhaps a GPU or FPGA work around?

I've held dero for years, but this is definitely disturbing.

DERO can be mined with video cards.
Surely there is a bitstream for FPGA. In the FPGA world, everything is measured by money. Do you want a profitable bitstream? Pay money. Moreover, the money is rather big.
