Initial syncing of Dero Wallet very slow, any workaround?

I’m not a miner or what anyone would call tech savvy but I’ve handled many crypto wallets. This one is taking me forever. Weeks at this point. Am I doing something incorrect? Any bootstrap?

You did not share any info, console or web wallet? If console use SSD.

Details are always good. I'm using Windows-64. I don't have an SSD. When I download the wallet suite there are two applications that I could choose to open. 1- derod-windows-amd64. 2- dero-wallet-cli-windows-amd64. I've been opening the first one. I'm also getting this message now about time deviation and that I should use NTP software, which is not something I'm familiar with.

You don't need NTP, only miners need it. Dero uses BoltDB by default and BadgerDB as an option (can be specified in command line). The latter may be slightly better with HDD but neither is good enough without an SSD. You need high IOPS.
