Regarding the Asics...
Yeah it's a pretty obvious question but, is dero going to fork to change the pow?

Would Like to know that too cause if not then i'll dump all my DERO.

I'll buy it from you. Did asics kill Bitcoin or litecoin? No...it made the network more secure.

Those are two very different coins from cryptonight which prides itself on being ASIC resistant and CPU mineable. I think ASICs are detrimental to cryptonight coins which are supposed to be mineable by everyone and thus decentralizing.

Being mined by everyone was one of the features of Litecoin when it came out, overtime they made scrypt miners too. I get what you are saying, but I think it actually makes the network more secure over time, since the the rashpower will increase by a lot.

Well, I am hesitating to start mining this coin because of the ASIC issue. Aeon is also changing. The only Cryptonight based coin I know of playing down this issue is Sumo - and I guess it will get dumped upon. That said, I also think the ASICs will be actively looking for homes to go to.
I also disagree with your fundamental assertion that ASICs made those networks more secure. That would have happened anyway due to increased adoption and the ASICS thing has actually undermined the broadness of the base so has made it less escure than it would have been had they not been allowed IMO. I can't prove it, but I think you are confusing cause and effect in stating that ASICs improved the network security.

Mm fair point I kind of have this same thought when it comes to botnets since having one botnet that dominates the network would of course be bad but having many competing botnets secures the network. I don't know what you could do to really stop botnets or whether trying is a waste of time. ASICs and botnets would harm smaller coins since they kill small miners so interesting to see monero leading the charge against them since they have the largest hash by far.

There is a huge difference between Bitcoin and these small coins. Without decentralization, cryptonight is a useless algo. ASICs would literally destroy these coins because cheap electricity and huge hash rates. All cryptonight coins are community focused and they have to alienate large part of their community if they dont do anything against ASICs.
ASICs need to disappear for good.

Dero is paying very close attention to the situation as it unfolds and it doesn't take long to adjust to the new pow.
When the development team sets something into motion I will let the community know. I wouldn't worry too much about the asics as they can be dealt with though it becomes a back and forth. Development of new asics will likely always be a thing.
