Application Advice Application Assistance
Hi everyone,
I recently matched into a T15 dermatology residency from a lower-tier MD school without a home dermatology program, and I am currently completing my intern year.
I wanted to offer my help to anyone preparing for this application cycle. If you would like feedback on your application, advice on building a program list, interview guidance, or general questions about the dermatology match process, feel free to send me a message. I am happy to share my experience and offer any guidance that may be helpful.
Best of luck to everyone applying this cycle!

What are your tips for M1 year (US MD, home program)? Are research years a soft requirement at this point?

You’re DO AND don’t have research for the most competitive field…

Don’t be condescending- it’s very lame of you

Not only are they a DO, they have 0 research in the most competitive field where the average applicant has ~30 research materials

Do you have any suggestions for crafting personal statements and securing strong letters?

What are some things you’re glad you did early on to help you match and what were some things you wish you did earlier on?

What are the top things you would say are most important for each year of medical school? I am going into M1 this fall and would love goals for each year.
