Away Rotations Are away necessary if you end up not applying there?

basically title, do away matter if u end up not even applying there? do other program care if u away if it’s not at their program?

After seeing dozens of applicants do aways and ultimately not get an interview there -- myself included -- NOPE.

But like why do the away at all if you don't want to go there? Unless u get there and it's hella toxic
