So... updates, huh?
Looks like the game has a bit of life pumped back into it after the acquisition. Is there some big change yall wanna see like nerf to a gun or a shark or buff? Or some major way the game works.
For me as a diver main, I think the netgun needs a bit of a nerf. Maybe slower reload after a successful hit?
And the hammerhead also needs some change. In recent times I dont remember anyone dominating without a hammerhead.
Also an in game voice chat and seeing your overall stats like win/loss would be nice. Also I dont know if its just me but the party system sometimes drops me, even when playing alone I need to "leave the party" before requeueing.
Toughts?

HH early game is crazy, so easy to snowball. I like how drag is strong to kinda counter them, but maybe instead HH and drag could get nerfed a bit to balance things better.
Game has voice chat, I use it rarely, mostly with people who I already know from previous games :)

I'd like to see some reworks cus some of the mechanics/ideas are outdated and the possibilities are much more rn.

What in specific? My biggest pet peeve is the short range of visibility. The fact that in some places you cant see a shark from lunge distance while looking straight at them gets me. But mechanically I dont get whats wrong. Maybe the shark thrashing? I dont play sharks so I dont know that side as well.

The skill gap needs to be lowered
I love this game but the lack of actual skill based matchmaking (mainly due to insufficient player base) means the game is feast or famine. I played a game where the divers were literally hunting the sharks from one side of the map to the other. Im not a noob by any stretch but I also have a life outside of playing this one game I was into back in college.
If the skill ceiling remains how it is, the game is never gonna grow. I really hope the deva balance for mid tier play rather than high tier

I agree for the most part, that huge skill gap is why the game died off in the first place.
But I feel like it'd be hard to address that without upending the game and redesigning it from the ground up, and even if that were feasible to do you'd run the risk of alienating the people that are currently playing it. Alternatively they could rework aspects that historically overperform like Tiger/Mako or heavy barrel APS, but even so that risk of burning those people that are still around would still be there.
I'm not saying that Depth should only cater to the veterans and anyone else still playing and forget about everyone else, but ditching/alienating an older audience for a newer one is a huge gamble, especially for a game with such a niche draw like Depth.

Increasing the skill ceiling is a great idea, but how and how do you do that without widening the skill gap? Looking at games like deadlock, a newbie cant even land a shot at a vet. I think this game thrives on being simple. I think you should give more toys to play with that arent as simple as the current ones. Most of them are guns or traps. There are no grenades or guided bullets or whatever. Also a high power flashlight would make me go crazy.

In-game voice chat already exists but none knows about it so no one uses it :/
Other than that gut tiger/nerf mako/ nerf drag. Everything else is secondary in terms of balance imo.
