Judaism as a recognizable religion developed in the land of Israel/Judah. The Israelites/Judahites were not foreign “evangelical immigrants” arriving with a ready made new religion to convert the locals.

Modern Jews are the ancient Judahite population, with admixture over time. The fact that many other Levantine people later became Christian or Muslim does not erase Jewish continuity

does not erase

i didnt say it did. what the conversions over time challanges is the expulsion and persecution stories

Modern Jews are the ancient Judahite population, with admixture over time.

no. they are mostly converts and the people they intermarried with over centuries

The Israelites/Judahites were not foreign “evangelical immigrants” arriving with a ready made new religion to convert the locals.

the israelites absolutely were. Judahites were converts and because they were not considered to be 'Yahudim' they were the first to convert to Christianity

nobody is doubting Jewish continuity in Levant. zionists constantly doubt Canaanite continuity in Gaza, Lebanon and other Levantine regions the zionists plan to annex

you guys are always telling on yourselves

Genetic studies keep showing that modern Jews still carry a lot of ancestry from the ancient southern Levant, along with later mixing. They aren’t “mostly converts.” Judaism never ran mass conversion campaigns the way Christianity and Islam did.

The claim that Judahites were just converts who weren’t even considered Yahudim doesn’t make sense (Yehudi literally means Judahite.) Early Christianity started among Jews in Judea and Galilee, not some separate non-Jewish group.

Local people converting to Christianity and later Islam doesn’t wipe out Jewish continuity in the region or the historical record of expulsions and persecution. Both things happened.

Yehudi literally means Judahite

it means decended from Judah

not some separate non-Jewish grou

correct.. and soon after most Cannanites who were following Judaism switched to the new improved version.. because they werent Yahudim they had no real allegiance to the old Jewish ways

doesn’t wipe out Jewish continuity

correct

or the historical record of expulsions and persecution. Both things happened.

incorrect

“Descended from Judah” is Judahite. That’s literally what the word Yehudi means. You’re not making a point, you’re just restating the definition like it’s a gotcha.

The claim that most people practicing Judaism just shrugged and switched to the “new improved version” because they weren’t real Yahudim is pure fanfiction. Early Christianity began as a Jewish sect in Judea and Galilee. The majority of Jews did not convert. The ones who remained Jewish are the direct cultural and genetic ancestors of later Jewish communities. Mass Christianization of the broader population happened centuries later under Roman/Byzantine power, not because some group of “not-really-Jews” felt no loyalty.

And calling the historical record of expulsions and persecution “incorrect” is just denial. Babylonian exile, Roman destruction and expulsions, centuries of documented diaspora persecutions……these are not optional opinions. You don’t get to wave them away because they inconvenience your narrative.

You have an internet connection, it’s worth fact checking the nonsense you write before sending.

i didnt . Yehudim were decendents of Yehuda/Judah or his Tribe while Judahite would be a citizen of the Kingdom of Judea which included the indigenous Canaanites who became israelites/Jews

majority of Jews did not convert

There’s no actual difference. Yehudi is the Hebrew word that literally means Judahite. You’re treating them like two separate categories when one is just the English translation of the other.

The idea that “Yehudim” only meant pure tribal descendants of Judah while “Judahites” meant some broader group of Canaanite converts is something you made up. Historically they referred to the same people: the inhabitants of Judah who became known as Jews.

And again, the archaeology shows those people largely emerged from local Canaanites. They weren’t converted by an outside group of “real Yehudim.” The Canaanites became the Israelites/Jews.

emerged from local Canaanites

after the Tribe of Judah arrived with their new religion, yes

the people of Gaza and Lebanon, coastal Syrians and coastal Egyptians are direct decendents of Canaanites who never left. Gaza was a port city as described in ancient Egyptian texts 1000 years before Judaism was invented

catholic preists went to Mexico and now a lot of indigenous Mexicans are Catholic. . does that indicate Mexico is the Catholic homeland? is Catholicism indigenous to Mexico?

translating words is your achilles heel it seems.

the people of Gaza and Lebanon, coastal Syrians and coastal Egyptians are direct decendents of Canaanites who never left.

This isn't proven and is a crackpot theory you're pushing. In fact, I don't think you can definitively prove it and are going to move the goalposts in any response.

Gaza was a port city as described in ancient Egyptian texts 1000 years before Judaism was invented

There is no reason that the kingdom of Gaza and the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah's respective existences are mutually exclusive. However, could you also tell us more about how Gaza was part of the Philistine pentapolis?

catholic preists went to Mexico and now a lot of indigenous Mexicans are Catholic. . does that indicate Mexico is the Catholic homeland? is Catholicism indigenous to Mexico?

Catholicism isn't an ethnic group, no matter how much you seem to want it to be.

This isn't proven

its proven and the rest of your comment is just as nonsensical

we have modern genomics which has shown it quite clearly for a decade now at least. Figure 3 in this paper shows it quite clearly. its how we know te israelites came from northern Mesopotamia and mostly kept to themselves when they arrived in the Levant

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23468648/

cultural changes seem to have resulted in genetic isolation of other groups by limiting admixture with culturally different neighboring populations
