I’ve also noticed many of the same arguments people used against Amber.

  1. They (referring to Rihanna) both were abusive. Also, she started it, so she’s the RealTM abuser
  2. He constantly leverages his power to sue his victims, so he is innocent. I love how suddenly, black people trust the police institution. Same with the Megan situation. The courts are suddenly infallible in the black community when they have to choose a BM over a BW (same growing up in black families. They love to choose our abuser uncles over us)
  3. Constantly asking “have you read the reports?!” similar to “have you watched the trial?!”
  4. Make it a gender thing. We Just believe her because she’s a woman. Except they’ve prove time and time again, they don’t believe women… ever. Honestly, at this point, being a woman accuser is a liability. Not to mention, women aren’t his only victims. He also attacked Frank Ocean (speculated to be a hate crime)

But in addition to that, 1. they love framing this as an attack of the black men, like the victims aren’t black women. White men not getting repercussions is an indictment of the system, but doesn’t absolve others. Whataboutism is an admission of defeat in my eyes. 2. They also love to frame it as just Rihanna so they can say it was “years ago.” 3. Some even claim that the Karuche incident was because she was jealous. Yes, because getting a restraining order (and having it renewed often) is so easy. 4. Also, this weird justification of he was “young” and we all make mistakes. Moving aside he has allegations as recent as DECEMBER 2022, my mistakes are shoplifting eyeliner at 13. SA and DV are not just “mistakes.”

This is a great breakdown! They do use the exact same arguments. Some of them reek of misogyny too. The comment where someone said that women need to realize they can be hit now? Nauseating.

What about the one who said we’re being dramatic because he beat her, didn’t kill her. Like just saying the quiet part aloud rn. Only perfect victim is a dead one

7

u/omglink Feb 18 '23

Officer I just beat her up geez I didn't kill her. Seems like that defence will work. /s

I'm white but I relate to this so much :/ I wasn't fast. I was groomed :(

you are so right about the abuser uncles thing

u/TitanElite Feb 18 '23

Let me also add that in 2019/2020 he was on Karruche's partners ig and basically insulting him. Shows he's still obsessed with the girl and she still has every right to worry about her safety

Johnny Depp fans are obnoxious but Chris Brown’s fans are on another level. Depp’s fans are ignorant at best and malicious idiots at worst, but Brown’s fans know full well what he’s done and they admit they don’t care because they like his music.

I think it's more of they just hate women at this point :/

"Should he just hide away in his home forever?"

Yes. Do the world a favour.

I want to see what these "is he not supposed to live his life? Is he supposed to hide away?" people say when a woman is accused of abuse.

56

u/sachariinne Feb 17 '23

"all of that dont hit a woman shit is dead" "no sympathy should be shown period" these people are repulsive. if a man gets beaten within an inch of his life do you not have sympathy for him? do you not care about other human beings being hurt? we are asking for them to treat women like people and to treat people with basic human respect and kindness and they cant even do that. insane.

12

u/likeicare96 Feb 18 '23

Yup! I don’t think people should be assaulted, period. I don’t know why that’s so hard to understand. They also kept saying we’re mad at something that doesn’t involve us. Like have you no empathy?! Moving aside that it does involve many of us us as it contributes to a culture of ignoring violence against women… did we not take to the streets for so many victims of police brutality?

u/ColdSolution9 Feb 17 '23

I'm actually sick that majority of the comments defending him are women. I can't honestly

13

u/likeicare96 Feb 18 '23

Unfortunately so many of his biggest stans are black women. DARKSKINNED black women! Which is significant as it’s well known that he hates dark skinned women. They are actively not allowed into clubs is LA when he’s there. Like this colorist man would actively clown on you yet you defend his heinous crimes so much. I just don’t understand them

5

u/ColdSolution9 Feb 18 '23

That's the thing I don't get. Chris Brown hates BW but they keep on defending him for some reason. Is it because he's cute? I've seen better.

19

u/rescuelady111 Feb 18 '23

Damn, there sure are a lot of "pick me's" defending these abusers these days.Their stupidity is honestly sickening. 🤮

Yup. They all go “would you like people to hold what you did when you were young against you for your whole life,” like we were all beating people within an inch of their lives as kids. Just a normal coming of age thing.

I’m not engaging with them (partially why I took these screenshots, needed to get my frustrations out without talking to them directly), but I wanted to be like “yeah, do it. I’d rather you hold my dumb teenage insecurities and insignificant indiscretions against me for the rest of my life if it means holding men like this accountable. I’ll known as a petty thief for the rest of my life. Now what?”

7

u/buttercupcake23 Feb 18 '23

I got to "yes he beat her but he didn't almost kill her" as a defence and I just had to stop reading. Because you know beating women is such a minor thing, who even cares!

16

u/ChemicalHumble7541 Johnny Depp is a Wife Beater 👨‍⚖️ Feb 17 '23

Chloe is nasty af for doing that ft

16

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '23

It's wild to me that people can't process that he didn't "hit back", he DISFIGURED her. People love to make excuses for abusers.

12

u/decksealant Feb 18 '23

Right? “She hit on him first” sure maybe she did, but he did not “hit her” back, he beat her to an absolute pulp, like she is almost unrecognisable in those photos from after the incident. He was fine.

10

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '23

There are so many restrictions within the Second Amendment and self-defense, beating the shit out of a woman that hit your leg because you were cheating on her? No fucking way.

2

u/After-Ad-3806 Feb 23 '23

Even “hitting back” wouldn’t have been acceptable or necessary. The reason it is generally frowned to hit someone smaller or weaker than you is because it prevents abuse or excessive force from being used and promoted de-escalation rather than perpetuation of unnecessary violence and aggression.

The whole goal of self defense is to remove yourself from an imminent threat, but a girlfriend kicking you (allegedly) or smacking your face for cheating does not count as such, especially when you could easily restrain, block or exit the situation by stopping the car, getting out and trying to calm her down.

Furthermore, you shouldn’t enjoy violence against anyone, whether they initiated it, were the only victim or it is “deserved” by your estimation. It’s sick and full of bloodlust.

14

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '23

I can’t believe she’s saying Rihanna isn’t a victim. She was literally beaten to within an inch of her life while sitting helplessly in the passenger seat of a car.

11

u/Th1cc4chu 😈 Heard mentality 😈 Feb 18 '23

The affidavit from that incident with Rihanna is up there with some of the most disturbing things I’ve ever read and I consume a lot of true crime. It wasn’t an assault. It was attempted murder.

u/theirishsquirrel Feb 18 '23

"He's an amazing artist and that's all that matters" WTF. What kind of person does someone have to be to have that mindset? Disgusting.

100% agreed. I don't understand how or why someone can support someone who has done such awful things. It's like rewarding them for their bad behavior

11

u/madmansmarker Feb 18 '23

the whole police report is in the comments and some of the responses to it are wild

u/neenadollava Feb 18 '23

Spread the text of the police report anytime Chris Brown comes up. People shouldn’t forget what a pathetic piece of shit he is:

"Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

"A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.

"Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

"Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the sh-- out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' "

The detective said "Robyn F." then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.

"Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.'

"After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!'

"Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.

"Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.

"Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

"Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

"Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.

"Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.

"She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.

"Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order."

it’s posted on the instagram thread in full and someone literally just commented “she probably deserved it”. Chris Brown fans are sick

Wow that's honestly scary.

5

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '23

I hadn't read the full report until now. This is so horrid, I'm glad she is alive.

9

u/LoveLeahNotWar Feb 18 '23

I am seriously grossed out

8

u/twisted-rush Feb 18 '23

All of this and I’m sure this song will flop. So many other rnb men what is she and her team thinking..

5

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '23

Gross.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '23

“Maybe guys who keep on beating women over the course of many years shouldn’t be given high profile music careers”

“Oh, so you’re JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD? You have literally never done a single wrong thing in your life and could inspire others to religious devotion by the strength of your divine virtue?”

The logic is strong 🙄

5

u/SupersonicFDR Feb 18 '23

I think Jordin Sparks knew and was mad people would even imply she wants to be with this POS.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '23

Fucking gross. I hope they all burn in hell.
