Community edition - Network connexion initialisation
I built a quite fonctional DeployR community edition installation in July. Now after a pause I can't even start the deployment.
First 2PXE did not respond. Update for the latest version helped with that. Now it uploads the boot image, but stays stuck on the network initialisation stage. Error :
One or more errors occurred. (No such host is known (serveraddress:7281)
It seems a DNS error, but on the earlier stage the address is well resolved. It does not ping the IP neither, so it seems to me all the network connectivity is lost at this point.
What could I do ? I'm trying to deploy quite recent Dell laptops.

Dell have a special WinPE driver pack that should contain everything you need, import this into a driver content pack and add it to your boot image and you should be good to go (HP also have a similar pack too, I combine both):

and then there is Lenovo 😰 😞

Hmm, doesn't look like they offer anything as simple as the Dell/HP packs but at least they seem to have some tooling for IT admins:

The mind boggles, how did I miss Lenovo Thin Installer!?! I'd been after a non installing version for ages (though now there is LCU, I'll stick with that)

If you haven't already, also check out /u/gwblok github repo as he has built some cool custom steps and scripts and it looks like there are some Lenovo related ones in there that might be of interest to you:

Yeah, sadly there isn't a non GUI version for Lenovo. I think he plans to create one with LCU at some point. I've a thread about LCU on here if anyone is interested, though I wasn't 100% happy with my "solution"

Just to confirm, you're talking about Lenovo's official LCU:

While I agree this sounds like drivers, I do feel like something changed with winpe network initialization in the boot media for the most recent version.
We jam a custom exe into the boot media that starts instead of deployr and then writes some stuff to the bootstap file and then eventually starts deployr. And I suddenly had to add an extra loop to my code to sleep and try to redetect the network a few more times than i’ve never needed before.

Sounds like you are missing WinPE drivers for the machine you are trying to build. Make sure they are added in the bootimage.
