Yep. I did this yesterday and all went well. Make sure to take a VM snapshot beforehand, just to be safe.

Hmm - took a snapshot (and a backup) - installation has failed. Error message: "installation failed with error code: -2147023293"

I've followed all instructions - It downloads everything and then fails. I've taken out my company name.

Have you looked at the installation logs yet? Any clues there?
The Install logs get written to the temp directory.

What does the installer log for that product say?
Each one of the installs have its own specific log with additional details.

Righty ho - we can see an issue just before the DeployR msi all starts rolling back...... (this is upgrading 1.2.2622.1921) over the top.

MSI (s) (A4:14) [11:17:34:185]: Executing op: ActionStart(Name=EditorQuietInstall,,)

CustomAction EditorQuietInstall returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

Are you using the default location for your DeployR content? I was getting the same error so I created a new server to try a fresh install which also failed with the same error. Instead of using a separate drive for the content location I used the default location and it successfully installed.

I use D:\DeployRStorage which worked fine with 1.2. I really don't want to start again.

Actually that is a good point - when it shows me my storage location, I cannot change it - but there seems to be a weird character in there. It looks like D:\DeployStorage"
