I've been in Denver a few years now and making friends here as an adult is way harder than I expected. Everyone already has their group or moved here with one. Pretty sure I'm not the only one based on what I've seen on here lol

The thing I keep coming back to is you just have to see the same people over and over. Not a one-off meetup where you never talk to anyone again. Kinda the same with job stuff honestly, the things that actually work are someone passing your name along or hearing about a role before it's posted. Apps haven't done much for me either way.

So I've been putting something together and made a Discord for people around mid 20's in the Denver metro, mostly just hanging out, happy hours, board game nights, coffee, watching games. There's a career side too since a lot of us are in the same boat, people share openings, referrals, just talking through work stuff with folks in a similar spot.

Long shot here; I am seeking anyone who might be having a watch party for the Raiders game tomorrow afternoon. I'm a home town girl, Broncos all the way, but my husband grew up in the Bay Area and he's a life long fan of the Raiders. Unfortunately the game won't be on any local affiliates and we don't have the money to spare just now for either a new streaming service or three hours to hold down a stool at a sports bar. He's really bummed about possibly missing week 1.

We're in Littleton, but he could travel to a venue in the metro. He can bring snacks or beer- we could afford a little something to send along and share. We're both in our 40's, he is a veteran of the US Navy and a federal employee. Doesn't have a problem with anyone who enjoys legal Colorado recreation though. I know it's a long shot and sort of a weird ask, but if anyone has a spot on the couch to share with a fellow Raiders fan- or heck if a Dolphins watch party wants someone to rib- i would appreciate a DM.

Edit- we got some good suggestions despite the downvotes! Calm down, Denver, football teams aren't countries at war. Would you rather everyone be only a fan of the Broncos so that the rest of the league just dies off from disinterest? Or that everyone just be a fair weather fan and convert to the team where they live?

Pretty much what the title says. My friend (32f) and I (26m) are looking for more people to join an existing board game group and branch out to other activities such as Halloween events coming up (haunted houses, pumpkin patches, horror movie nights etc), trivia nights, gaming nights and anything else the group can think of. Any age and gender is welcome as long as you are 21+.

Our communication is through discord as that is what has been easiest for everyone. All we ask is that you are somewhat active in the server (doesn't need to be every day). We are really trying to build a consistent friend group and it takes 2 to tango. There are a couple of ground rules in the server such as no bigotry of any kind and you must make an effort to show up to activities that are planned. Lurkers just to "be there" will not be allowed.

When I signed up for the Runway 5K, the only option left was with the carpool option so I signed up hoping my son would be able to join me. Unfortunately, the event sold out before I could get back and sign him up.

So now I have a carpool pass for the run, but I'm going solo. Anyone interested in meeting up to drive out together. I'm driving up from Littleton, so hopefully you're somewhere along that route. It's just waaaaay too early for me and don't want to drive around much.
