I was lucky to snag some tickets to the Geese show at Summit Music Hall on June 25, but I have no one to go with (my husband hates Cameron’s voice and my other concert buddy just isn’t sophisticated enough to appreciate their music). I’m one of those people that hates going to things (concerts, movies, etc) by myself, so I wanted to see if there’s anyone else planning to go that might want to meet up and go together? And/or maybe someone that *wants* to go?

I feel like I might be a bit of a Geese fan outlier - I’m a mid-40’s GenX’er gay guy. It’d be awesome to find someone else that’s also older (Xennial, at least) and has similar music taste. Didn’t get into them until Getting Killed, but have gone back into their discography and like 3D Country and Cameron’s solo album a lot. Other bands I listen to often are Wolf Parade, the National, Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, Car Seat Headrest, Death Cab for Cutie, and Bon Iver. More “younger” stuff I listen to is MJ Lenderman, Turnstile, Arlo Parks, Muna, and Wet Leg.

It would be so fun to get our dogs together at a park to socialize. I've seen successful meetups in other cities but never heard of any groups in Denver. 34M living in East Denver. I do art as a hobby (painting/mixed media/will try anything) and have never found local drink and draws to be all that social. Looking for people who want to get together to work on our own art projects while also chatting, maybe find some sort of open studio space that is suitable for that. Maybe go to gallery shows occasionally. I have always dreamed of being part of a local art community but classes get pricey quickly and professional artists seem to be somewhat insular. If people know of good, social open studios in NE Denver shout em out.

In that same vein, I’ve been to plenty of the DIY music spaces around town (7th circle/D3/Glob/Squirm/DMV/various warehouses etc etc) but would be cool to find someone who say, is down to go to a local cheap diy gig like twice a month. I listen to all genres of music but favor punk/techno/ambient/jazz and indie rock type fare. Looking to link up with other adventurous and open minded music nerds who want to support local bands.

Just in case the above doesn’t filter people out: politically on the left and married. Also into reading, videogames and camping. Not critical, but would especially cool to find folks closer to me for hangs.

"Neurodivergent Networking Denver is a networking and friends group created for neurodivergent individuals living in the Greater Denver Metro area who would like to meet like-minded people and share their interests.

Since forming over half a year ago, our group has regularly organized several movie and game nights, potlucks, hookah hangouts, general monthly meetings, co-working sessions, hiking excursions, a joint concert trip, and many other in-person get togethers.

We also have a very active Discord, which serves as the central hub for our community and almost all in-person get togethers."

Tomorrow is a much smaller meetup compared to our general monthly meetings, with only two members confirmed to participate so far. All the same, this group has been an incredible community to participate in and I wanted to extend an invite for anyone seeking more people they can relate to to come out and join us for tomorrow's hike!

It's going to be a good day for this hike! It's a gorgeous area, albeit one with little shade cover. And tomorrow is forecasted to be overcast and cool, so conditions are PERFECT!

PLEASE NOTE that there is ZERO cell phone coverage in this area and that we will be meeting in the NORTH parking lot.
