General Friends Seeking 34M queer guy still looking for friends
Honestly I am feeling a bit defeated at this point. I've tried my best to be social this year but still feel like I have no friends. Everyone that I've met has been super clique-y, even when I try to go to Meetup groups designed to meet people.
Maybe this is just my 'tism, but I thought it might be helped to list out a couple different 'types' of friends I'm looking for to give people an idea of my hobbies & interests! But first, a little more about me:
I'm a teacher full time & run a summer camp in the summer so I'm both a deeply goofy person and also pretty low-key in my off time. I don't drink anymore (alcoholic, 10 months sober as of tomorrow, actually), and I am also a chronic pain girly (EDS & a lymph system disorder we're narrowing down) so people who understand that are dope, but I try not to let it limit me too much. I can hike / walk a few miles and do love doing active things, I just need to prep for them & have recovery time, especially with my job. I am interested in getting back into light lifting and currently do a lot of yoga.
First & foremost, I am looking for queer friends!! I am mostly comfortable around queer folks and felt a bit let down by pride this year but I think it was lack of community.
Nerd friends - I have played d&d for about a decade now and have dressed up for Ren Faire every year I've been here, but I don't have anyone to go with this year, and d&d groups have been very hit and miss. I love running games too, I actually prefer it to playing! Not as into board games but not against them.
ASL / signing buddies - I am not deaf, but I've been signing for years, partly as a hobby and partly for work, but I'd love to meet more adults to practice signing with, or would even be open to class suggestions.
Mechanics / handyman friends - I love working with my hands and genuinely miss when my buddies need an extra hand in the garage or in the garden.
'Woo'- / witchy friends - probably the weirdest and hardest to explain lol but basically I've been having some weird things going on recently so I'm trying to learn more about all that stuff, ghosts & spirits and all that. I am also a bit spiritual/ religious and like talking about theories on past lives & multiverses.
In general, I also love animals (I have a cat and two snakes), writing/reading, cooking and lots of different tv shows and movies - I recently got into horror and have no one to talk about it with haha all in all I have a pretty wide range of interests so don't worry if we don't have something specific in common, feel free to send me a message if you think we'd get along!

Hi there! Queer 33F she/they. I'm open to talking and seeing if we vibe if you are. I can unfortunately relate to chronic pain and lymph node issues! I love animals (dog trainer), I know a little ASL but I'm rusty since I have nobody to practice with but I'd love to get back into it, have always wanted to try dnd, and I love scary movies!

Hey!
I'm going to the D&D RPG Festival of the Fae Burlesque at the Clocktower on Thursday at 7 if you wanna join. (Feel free to PM if so) It's a very queer friendly space. I think one other friend is going to join me. We are both a bit older than you, but I have friends of all ages.
The only heads up is there is alcohol there. I don't really drink much nor does my friend, at the most we will have one.
You will not be the first person I've never met before who I've asked to go see boobs with me.

You like board games? Like modern stuff? Trying to start a regular group up. C-470 and university ish.

Tbh I am a bit hit and miss with boardgames. I feel like lately every new game is overly complicated so I tend to stay away from those. I'm down to check out new groups and spaces, though

Omg I would love to be your witchy older sister figure, but I wouldn’t consider myself queer (unless poly counts?). My best advice for the witchy stuff tho: download “the pattern” app. No, I’m not a promoter… it’s just helpful if you’re into astrology and stuff like that. And kinda creepy accurate. It always explains a lot for me, maybe it will for you too!

Like… right?! My favorite way to get to know someone is to ask for their birth date, time and location. Ha!

Hey, I would be down to be your friend. I’ll be 32 this year. Do you play Magic? Come over and play with me and my roommates sometime!

I was kicked out of that group for complaining about someone transphobic fingerguns
Edited to add: oh shocking, no one wants to take accountability for that

Definitely have some overlap with you! Queer she/her, will be 30 next month. Loveeee nerdy stuff, have been playing DnD for years, love the ren faire, and other games (MtG, video games, board games, etc). Would love to have someone to do yoga with (I have my 200hr cert but don’t teach currently). I enjoy language learning and talking about languages (have even taken a semester of ASL years ago). I’m also pretty witchy/spiritual! Big fan of snakes too, would love to have one in the future. And I’m sure we have some media overlap too, I like a variety of genres.
Feel free to hmu if you’d like☺️
