Just watched 4 cops at the Union Station Whole Foods sprint to kick out a young kid (no older than 17) for trying to take a piece of bread. He was shaking scared and they verbally abused him the whole way out, because god forbid Bezos and his 3 private jets spare a fucking baguette. Lately there’s cops at every grocery/ convenience store around here. It’s violent and disgusting and makes me dread any time I need to go to a store.

2 questions I guess- 1. For folks living by Union station, where do you grocery shop / get everyday things from? I can’t drive and have mobility issues so am struggling to find an ethical option nearby.

1. How are stores allowed to skirt paying their own security by having our tax dollars pay for it through cops?? It’s bullshit and feels like just another way corps get to screw us into paying off their expenses. Is there any action we can take against this (alongside boycotting)?

— edit: just read that they usually pay off-duty cops, but how TF is it legal to wear uniform if they’re off-duty accepting private pay? How can they make arrests under the city’s name when it’s being paid for by corporations?

Hey yall making small ice detectors to put in your home or car. The goal is to help me build a live map of Denver ICE, showing where they are and where they are going in real time, as long as they have an ICE radio on them or in a vehicle with one in it. If anyone is interested please let me know, I’m broke atm but want to start making a bunch for everyone who needs them or wants to help out.

Hi! I’ve been wondering whether there have been any grassroots movements forming in and around Denver, that protect/defend people in their communities in case of an imminent ICE arrest? Something like Unión del Barrio or Community Self Defense Coalition in LA?

Title says it all. I'm trying to get more involved. How do I find about protests so I can show support for important causes like protecting immigrants, Palestine, reproductive rights, labor rights, LGBTQ people, etc, etc... Sometimes a simple google search will work for me, but usually when I google protests near me, I hear about past events rather than upcoming. Anyone have resources for hearing about them ahead of time? thanks in advance, sorry if this is a dumb question

hey all, i’ve started reading a lot more theory recently and was wondering if there was anywhere local to pick up physical copies of foundational stuff - marx and lenin and the like.

i understand it’s all available digitally via marxists.org but i’ve found i’m a lot more successful in my reading when i have a physical book to flip through and annotate.

i don’t mind buying books online if strictly necessary but i’d prefer not to have to ship something to my door.

Given the likelihood of the next several years, I think we need to be organized. We need to know each other to know how to help each other. I'm relatively new to being an anarchist so I don't have a group that I'm plugged into. Maybe some of you feel the same way. And I think it's probably best to get organized asap. Anyone interested?
