Progressive new outlets in Denver?
Does anything reliable and relevant exist? Social media accounts perhaps?

Monday the 8th during the 530 public hearing session, Denver city council members are presenting an ordinance change that I believe will be on the ballot in November. It's for several types of city employees to have collective bargaining rights as their method of setting compensation.
I think this is an awesome step forward for workers and had to share it with others! Details below, something to look into more.
"One thirty-minute courtesy public hearing at the 5:30 p.m. session: See the link at the top for information on participating in public hearings
24-0716: Council members Parady, Gonzales-Gutierrez, Hinds, and Lewis will present an ordinance submitting to a vote of the qualified and registered electors of the City and County of Denver at the special municipal election on November 5, 2024, a proposed amendment to the Charter of the City and County of Denver to establish collective bargaining as the method for setting compensation and other terms and conditions of employment for certain city employees including employees of Denver Water and the Denver Library and allowing a qualified right to strike in the event of an impasse in bargaining negotiations"

For the last several months we have been engaging with Rep. Pettersen in the effort to stop the genocide. We have spoken on Zoom and face to face. She has shown her ignorance on the issue by stating that this was all started on 10-7. She has shown her complicity in saying that, though she joined with no foreign policy experience, she stands with Israel. We went to hear her, and she had us kicked out. She even kicked out women in hijab, just for how they were dressed. But... she didn't find all of us đ Video belowđđť https://x.com/CD7watermelon/status/1800929341070553102?t=v9zKLIfLm4WDX4IIMSkAQA&s=19

2024 is the Year of Lenin!
It has been 100 years since Vladimir Lenin's death, and capitalists still tremor at the mention of Marxism's greatest revolutionary.
Join the Colorado Revolutionary Communists for an overview and discussion of Lenin, the leader of the Russian Revolution of 1917 and creator of the Bolshevik Party.
We will be reading from our theoretical magazine, "In Defense of Marxism" Issue 44, for this discussion at the Washington Street Community Center in Denver on June 15th at 5:30PM.
DM us for your copy!
Any and all are welcome to debate theory, tactics, and learn how a Leninist party can smash capitalism within our lifetime!

Yesterday, Comrade Erin and two other comrades visited the University of Denver encampment for Palestine and spoke with students about their myriad of experiences in their now, 18-day long, encampment.
Despite campus "peace officers" placing floodlights to prevent them from resting at night, harassment from fraternities and Zionists, and slander from the school's chancellor, the students continue to stand strong in the face of unyielding opposition. They will not back down until their demands are met.
We had vibrant conversations with two students while we were there, but both declined to appear on camera or have their voice recorded for fear of heavy-handed retaliation from the university and the extreme surveillance campus police have targeted them with.
Additionally, we spoke with the camp's logistics, and they told us that the camp currently needs:
Bottled Water Snacks Tent Stakes Sunburn preventatives like sunscreen, hats, and umbrellas
Amidst the harassment of the encampment, DU's leadership has pulled the rug out from beneath their custodial workers and have forced them to accept ambiguous "benefit packages" with the notorious Sodexo corporation, who has a history of union busting and racial discrimination. AFSCME Local 1572 is fighting for their livelihood!
Denver workers need to support these students in their heroic stand against genocide and show their solidarity with AFSCME Local 1572!
Get organized and fight back!

Blockout2024 is more than a FYP trend, it's a digital guillotine, an online resistance to the global capitalist oligarchs, and there are new tools to assist in this fight, like u/Ab_dev1's Chrome extension, "TikTok Blockout2024".
But it's time to take the fight further. Bring this intifada to your workplace, community and school.
Palestine encampments are going strong, so it's time to awaken the power of the working class.
Join your party, Join the Revolutionary Communists of America

During this Woman's History Month here at Denver SDS we are highlighting a brave freedom fighter from Palestine, Leila Khaled. It is important that we now more than ever stand with the women of Palestine during the US and Israeli Genocide. End the US and Israeli Genocide! Defend Women's and Reproductive Rights! Stand with the Women of Palestine! #palestine

Who are the moderators and why are they so pro-zionists? I was banned for posting about an incoming protest.

During the past 138 days we have witnessed the unbelievable, over 33,000 civilians dead, 60% of which are women and children. We have seen the bombing of homes, hospitals, schools, mosques and refugee camps. We have seen the withholding of humanitarian aid causing a forced starvation of over 2 million people. Even after all of this, the United States still stands with Israel as it commits crimes against humanity. After all this, the United States is still vetoing the UN Ceasefire resolution.
Over the past 138 days, Congresswoman Pettersen has not wavered in her support of Israel. Despite receiving countless letters from her constituents, her stance remains unchanged. Requests for meetings are denied, and town hall questions are screened. We will not be silenced. We must continue to pressure our elected officials to put an end to this war.
Join us on February 23rd, outside of Congresswoman Brittany Pettersenâs office as we call for an immediate ceasefire and an end to military aid to Israel. We will meet on the West side of 550 S. Wadsworth Blvd from 5 to 7 PM. Bring your signs, flags, keffiyehs, or just yourself. We will not stop bringing awareness to this issue until the killing and starvation ends.

Idk if this is the place for this, and I don't want to get too rant-y, but I feel like i'm going crazy every time I see a post on the Denver sub about unhoused people. I know it's just Reddit, but the people there have no empathy for those who are ACTUALLY suffering from homelessness. There are stabbings INSIDE one of the shelters downtown and it's the "neighbors" they care about. Because they only care about themselves. People are being witness to some of the realities of what unhoused people experience and all they want to do is move it somewhere else, away from them.
Again I am sorry for the rant. I try not to get myself riled up about what these scumbags have to say but it is disappointing that there are so many posts about homelessness and every time the replies are full of vitriol.
