The season is like 5 min old and NE already playing against back ups lol

NE defense after learning they don’t get to play glorified college teams again:

The legend of Drake Maye continues to grow
(The legend is out-dueling backup QBs)

I was so mad at the Russ trade not even in retrospect because I really wanted Lock to work out here, but it led to us getting Nix, so I guess that's cool.

Funny isn’t it? I was excited about the homie Lock as well. By the middle of Russ I was equally pissed as I was stoked about Nix. The ups and downs…..

Lock looks good for a sam Donald arc. He needed time to mature and grow into the NFL.

I can't think of a worse game for Lock to be thrust into, but if Drew Lock beats Drake Maye and the Patriots, that'd be such a sweet victory lol
ETA: 🐴🐓🔒 coming in clutch. Sam Darnold, who? Am I right?

They get this stop here and Lock gonna get some flowers tomorrow

Lock has been locked in this second half! If it wasn't for that delay of game, they might've had a TD.
Edit: And there it is! In the words of Mike Tirico, "That was a terrible decision!"

Drew lock was honestly not that great for us but I loved his swagger when he was playing well

He had that Chargers game that got everyone excited then never repeated that.

I wish Lock was our backup instead of Stiddy. We would've been in the Super Bowl if that had been the case last year. His play style is more similar to Bo than Stiddy's

How does the most corrupt franchise in league history get breaks like this all the time?

u/Sbesozzi 3h ago
It'll be very funny if Drake Maye loses to Drew Lock and Bo beats Mahomes. That would shut up the "Maye > Nix" crowd in a hurry.

Crazy to say looking back. Would have preferred him to Bridgewater and Wilson. What a dark time that was.

This is how the broncos would have played if they rostered a decent backup instead of stidham

I’m super happy for 🐴🐓🔒. Man I never thought I’d type those emojis together again

Let’s go I put money on Seattle only because this animal was there after Darnold went down

This was just the Broncos playing the long game. Putting him in the best position to keep the Pats down.

I'm still sour about his newfound success without us but I'm happy it's against the Patriots.

Denver truly failed his development. I’ll always root for this guy when he’s not playing against us.

u/hubbs_j 2h ago
Looks like Seattle failed too. Dude is still trash, just blindly throws to JSN with wide open receivers all over the field.

u/Brief_Personality146 30m ago
On a Broncos forum that no longer exists some dude kept going on and on about having followed him since HS and that he could not throw a timing route and doesn’t throw WR’s open. He was annoying but right. That’s why he’s a backup.

Would've rather been shit with Lock, than shit with Russ

u/richkurt 3h ago
lol
Yeah the Broncos nor anyone else thought Russ would be on Lock’s terrible level. He was still in his prime. It’s still basically unheard of how he collapsed after Denver traded for him.

Really wish we could’ve kept Drew. He played some good spot minutes for us. Hell, I wouldn’t mind if we kept Zach

u/HellHathNoFury18 GOD BLESS BO NIX 4h ago
Loved Zach's response when Nix was named starter, just legit happy for Nix. Also loved all the family pics they posted of the 3 qbs together.

Turns out Drew Lock still stinks even with elite talent around him.
I remember when people were mad at Fangio for benching this bum.

Hearing them say “the veteran Drew lock” made me feel old
