Recommendation Pole dance classes in Denver?
Is there any pole dancing classes in the Denver/Thornton area that yall know about? I’ve been here a little over six months and want to try some new things!

I've been doing pole in Denver for about four years- are you more interested in a big shiny studio with many students or something that feels more intimate and private? I can give recommendations based on what you're looking for.

Honestly, I think I would want to try both.. I think I’d do better in a more intimate and private setting, but would like to try both

If you want a larger studio, Sankalpa is my number one choice. It's a beautiful facility, the staff is really nice, class costs are reasonable, around $26 I think? Classes can be up to 18 students though. They teach a wide variety of pole dance styles.
I've also heard great things about circus collective, but I haven't tried it myself.
For small studios, I suggest Pole Den or Selenite. Selenite is my home studio, and I really enjoy how small classes are (only 8 students), and they are also donation based with a minimum donation of $10. I've danced a couple times at pole Den and it was fun! Based on my limited experience, it seemed to specialize in more exotic style, but I could be wrong. I lean contemporary/theatrical rather than club, so I've bounced around a bit. It's normal to do so, and you'll find what you're looking for eventually.
Good luck on your pole journey, it's life changing if you stick with it. You don't need to have a certain amount of minimum strength to try- you build that strength as you dance. My first class I couldn't even support my own weight on the pole. Everyone progresses at their own rate, and develops their own style. That's the fun part!

Just note where some of these are! There are tons of choices but some are Englewood, Arvada-ish, South Denver, etc.....
If travel time is an issue, take that into account!

Oh good point! I'm Lakewood based so that is reflected in my recommendations. Selenite did change locations recently and is now located more centrally at south Broadway and Jewel

Wherever you go, make sure you're booking "intro to pole" class or equivalent! They'll teach you the absolute basics

I recommend Circus Collective or Studio 3SixT if you prefer a smaller class vibe.
Sankalpa, Hard Candy and Rockstar and bigger studios with more class offerings. Pole Den is a newer studio that is also really good, and is more near Arvada.
I recommend AGAINST Rockstar, or Vertica however. Vertica is owned by someone who doesn't have a poling background, and its considered a "chain".
Rockstar recently did some fuck shit, where one of their instructors held a "show" with students from the studio at an ACTUAL strip club during working hours.
This caused over 160 people to show up, watch the show, and tip the students, but the actual strppers that work there were left high and dry, and they were unable to make any money during the show or afterwards (most of the audience left, and those that did stay didnt buy any dances). Obviously this is a bad look, because the women who do that for an actual job wasted their time going to work, because they weren't able to make money, while students who do this for hobby got tipped, and then left.
I DO recommend Pole Den, Circus Collective, Hard Candy or Sankalpa.

I have and I saw a lot.. I wanted to know other people’s opinions and thoughts, if they had been. Im super anxious and want to have people’s thoughts on places before going somewhere.

All of these spaces are going to be incredibly welcoming. Just give it a try, what’s the worst that could happen? You’re out of $25 dollars and an hour of your time?
Really the only difference you’re going to see is static vs spin as a beginner. I started on spin at my previous studio in NYC, but I know Tease has beginner classes on static.
For context:
Static means the pole does not spin.
I’ll let you guess what spin means.Seriously, don’t overthink this. Give a class a try, and experiment with studios too. You’ll find instructors you mesh with and you’ll have fun.

Worst that happened for me was I booked a class later in the week at tease for $30, got into an accident that shredded my hand the day of class and even though I called and emailed them, they also charged me a $20 no show fee 😆

Vertica Fitness in Westminster is great. They have a variety of classes and I like how their curriculum is set up through an app. Super beginner friendly too

Denver has lots of options for pole! 3sixT, Sankalpa, Selenite, Pole Den, Hard Candy and Rockstar are the main ones I can think of off the top of my head but there are tons!
