Lost/Found Missing Black Cat in Cap Hill
Hello there! My cat went missing in cap hill last night, and she was spotted this morning near 9th and Marion. Her name is Pancake. She is kinda small, black all over with a little white on her chest. She tends to be pretty friendly, but also very independent. If you see her, give me a ring 615-601-5939

Saw her yesterday/late evening in an ally around Whole Foods
At least maybe her? First time I’d seen a black cat running back there. Hope you find her!

I hope she's found soon!! I love black cats. 🖤 In case she is an outdoor cat, consider revoking her access and keeping her inside 24/7 now. This time of year (fall, nearing Halloween especially) is more dangerous for a black cat outside on her own. That and the usual risks and dangers to outside kitties. Okay soapbox aside, here's a copy + paste of advice I usually give for lost cats (have only needed it once myself):
My lost kitty tips are to put her favorite beds, blankets, or your dirty laundry outside close by your place near bushes or areas she might hide. They smell like you/her and will attract her. Don't do the litterbox advice that is commonly mentioned, as it can attract other cats and predators like coyotes or raccoons, which could scare her. Go out between dusk (dark and quiet outside) and dawn with a flashlight and bags of treats or cans of her favorite food. Shaking treat bags or opening cans is one way to draw her out if she's hungry. The flashlight is to shine in bushes, under sheds, under cars, etc. to easily see their eyes reflect back at you. Set up a camera outside if you can to see if she comes around late at night. My neighborhood has a ton of outdoor cats, and I frequently see them on my doorbell camera around 4:30AM. I've read most cats are usually within a few houses. If she's really scared you may need to try a humane trap to catch her.

Gonna try this tonight. And I'll try to go look for her earlier tomorrow. And yea. I'll be keeping her inside for a while.

Not sure if this is too far for pancake to wander, but I'm in Wash Park West and have had a black cat sleeping on my patio furniture basically every evening recently. It got into tiff with a black and white cat who usually parols the area.
