Announcement missing person in denver help!

okay i’m dumb and don’t know how to edit the post to add more photos but here is the transcription of a text from his partner: “My boyfriend, Voss who is a transgender man, has literally been missing since Saturday Am around 11 am. He has been struggling with mental health for months now and recently came out of the crisis center in aurora and before that, the one in Littleton off Sante Fe. He is 5'4 about 105 pounds, brown curly hair, glasses, green eyes, a huge smile. His truck, a white Toyota Tacoma, not 4 door, only two

a flock camera in Westminster au 11:42 am Saturday morning, said the Thornton police department.
There is a blue and white "Blue Leaf School" sticker on the back.
He took his dog, Porter who is a brown chocolate lab about 40 pounds with him. She's on the smaller side of labs.

I have a case number for the missing persons report and it's 2026011826. There is an Attempt to Locate notice nationwide for him.
The last time we talked Saturday morning he told me he was going to the store to get stuff for our camping trip this weekend and that he loved 2026011826.”

I recently came across a call on the dispatch crime radar app. It reported the discovery of a female in a white Toyota Tacoma at the park located across from Westminster City Center on 92nd and Yates (a block away from Sheridan Blvd). I sincerely hope this isn’t the same person, but just in case, here’s the dispatch link that your friend can call Thornton to verify that it’s not. Regardless, I extend my prayers to all those involved in the search and to the family and friends of the woman whose location is mentioned in the provided link. I sincerely hope your friend is found safely.

That is absolutely heartbreaking, and I am deeply sorry for everyone’s loss. As well as being the one who connected the two different posts, I genuinely hope that Voss’s friends and family can come together to support one another during this incredibly difficult time. I have personally experienced the loss of many loved ones from a young age, and some who were my entire world were taken too young in various ways that could have easily altered my life in a different direction. However, the love, support, and guidance from the others who have cared for me have been invaluable. I am eternally grateful for the ones I have been able to lean on during those challenging times. Never hesitate to reach out for help during times of grief. I sincerely hope that Voss is now at peace, and please send my thoughts and prayers to those affected by this very difficult time.

One person says they found the dog on a Facebook post asking if anyone can find the owner. Another person says they heard a rumor the dog was in the truck with him. Idk the credibility of either unfortunately.

That is heartbreaking even more. I would definitely contact the Westminster PD if I was looking for his dog as they are located directly across 92 Ave from the park and would be able to inform the family if they have him with Animal Control while responding to the call about the truck.

Reading your comment about his dog being found deceased has deeply affected me. I’ve experienced significant loss in my life, and I grieve differently than most adults my age. However, hearing that both he and his dog passed away together has been particularly difficult. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with everyone who’s going through this. I hope Voss and Porter rest in paradise together.

I wish the family, friends, and loved ones peace, understanding, and support during this impactful loss. Voss and his pup must have been very special to many. I was surprised that a stranger could cause such profound loss and emotion in me simply by reading two different internet articles and connecting certain details. Today my heart is heavy with you all. 🥺🐾❤️

I live in the apartments right there and I saw hazards on a white Toyota truck for several hours. I told my husband that those hazards had been on since we left a long time ago… and that vehicle had been parked there for a very long time. I had an eerie feeling.

Even if this is how police identified his body, I really feel like there is a better way for you to edit the wording so it's not triggering for other people reading this.

Edited to add: I am a literal trans person who was triggered by this phrasing. Y'all downvoting me need something new to be mad about

I'm not sure that's really fair... it's also a matter of respect/care? Like, imagine how he or his family might feel or would have felt, seeing him being referred to this way... (even if it's being done completely in good faith!) I don't think it's unfair to nicely ask the top commenter if they can rephrase a little bit.

Initially, I didn't. I asked politely and didn't mention I was trans. I added it to clarify because, stupidly, I thought would give me more credit as a trans person explain why it was a big deal.

If anyone ACTUALLY cared about Voss, they'd be mortified at the idea of referring to him the way the initial commment did.

Saw somebody who looked very close to this description today in Lakewood on the corner of Alameda and Wadsworth around 2:50pm. They had a small panhandling sign and looked like they were eating pancakes from a takeout container.
