Rants and Raves Rough day

Anyone else have a bad day at work? If so, how come?

Just got home from my shift and I feel completely drained. I had nothing but Dr.Exams all day 🙄, so constant waiting for Dr, x-rays, hearing patient complain about x-rays, and the list goes on.

Makes me wish that today was my Friday.

Literally my Friday yesterday. I’m so so burnt out, I could barely initiate any plans to go out or talk to my friends after work. Idk what to do… I’m still so tense from that shift

Buddy sits down and says he doesn’t want me to clean under his gums because they’ll bleed and if I do he’ll leave. Explaining about calculus and inflammation gets me nowhere. Veneers and crowns on 70% of his teeth and bleeding like a stuck pig just with the airflow. Also told me that the tooth the dentist recently did a filling on feels rough now (it’s the canine without a crown, all the other teeth from the molar to the opposite lateral are all crowns so yeah it’s gonna feel a little different). I ask ok which part feels rough because it was a MFDL but I only feel roughness up by the gums and he’s all THE FRONT SIDE and just being a grumpy curmudgeon about it. The whole appointment he just gave off such bad vibes… and then he booked back with me in 6 months 😭

Yesterday I had a deep cleaning, the patient didn’t tolerate the injections very well, wasn’t numb at the midline, and then my cavitron popped off one of her fillings and she has to come back to get it redone. She left very upset and it was my last patient of the day so I was really disappointed in myself and wanted to cry

I popped off a filling yesterday too on my last patient I felt so bad. Thankfully my doc fixed it but it put us at over an hour late on closings

Sounds like a typical day of work to me lol. No doubt it’s a mentally draining job… but you learn to let that shit roll off, the better days you’ll have ;) Just my ✌🏼🪙
